@@6079__Smith__W I’m quite sure it’s an improvisation, at least I’ve never heard it before, and it makes sense since it links between Bent Al Shalabiyya and Alf Leila W Leila. It also actually starts at 3:10.

The the instrument strapped to his waist is called "al qanoon" , he is the first to strap it like that ,usually you play it sitting down , I would safely say this is the best qanoon performance I have ever heard . mesmerizing

Here is a perfect example of wonderful music that can defy tragedies, and outlive time. This song ( Bint Al Shalabiyah) belongs to a beloved, and famous artist from Aleppo/Syria Named Sabah Al Fakhry who is one of the pillars of Arabic music with his unique style. Although he passed away, and his ancient city was destroyed , his wonderful music lives on, and brings joy to everyone still. Thanks for the tribute guys, it brings back sweet, so sweet memories of my childhood, and the memory of all the wonderful people of my birth place Aleppo. 😘😘 Oumi jawzini ya mama whadeh Halabiyeh.

Sabah Fakhry is a great classic singer but bint el shalabeyya goes even further back to the Egyptian Sayed Darwish who died in the late 1920, his music was kept alive by Sabah Fakhry and Rahabani brothers through Fairuz

Spanish Flamenco & singing style is typically Maghrebien! It is a finer version of Arabic. This one is originally Lebanese, sung by our grand Diva FEYROUZ! You'll find her on You Tube. Search for the lyrics translated on Google. They're beautiful!

both christ and hamad are silly. instead of enjoying music and art, u argue here. lebanon is very old country and culture made of mix of people, arabic was an added value to the lebanese culture. hamad, no we are not leftover of anyone, we are the descendants of Baal, EL, Anath, Astarte... Then came the abrahamic religions. all this mix of everything is what makes lebanon and this region. Enjoy it instead of arguing about silly topics :)

Bint El Shalabiya was an adaptation for beautiful Fairuz by her husband Asi Rahbani from the richest musical heritage of Aleppo, Syria .. And Alf Leila W Leila is one of the most beautiful songs of Great Um Kulthoum. .. Thank you so much for this truly fantastic performance in every measure !
