Do the studies utilize charged biochar? I wonder what the results would be for a soil test followed by the biochar being charged with the necessary amendments before addition to the soil? What about adding microbial life to the biochar?

Most farm animals like pigs, chickens, etc love eating charred wood.

50/50 - surprising given all the hype. Kinda reminds me of discussions of azomite. I think there are so many variables in play here- like what is the soil like 1st. Good soil is probably not going to see much improvement but there's a greater potential for a positive effect if the soil is poor.
