No, same IP will conflict in the network. You can give different IP, simple change last octed value like 192.168.1.10 , 192.168.1.11 , 192.168.1.12 , so on

Use it will work but make sure your router ip and DHCP settings are most important to note down and do configure as per router ip series.

@@kryptonnite2321 1- check connection between biometric machine and laptop by ping cmd. if you received response from biometric device ip than connection is ok. next settings will be from software. 2- if not received the response on ping, check firewall of laptop or desktop os, antivirus firewall and turn it off for lan network. 3- still not getting response than please change lan cable or try to check the same with other laptop / desktop / other OS.
