Bionicle has always been a huge part of my life, so when LEGO started publishing their new animations to re-introduce us to that world, I just HAD to contribute to its revival in some way.
And what better way to do that, than with a cheesy little amv?
Mind you, I AM aware of how corny this is, because it is intended to be. The thought behind this was simply to pay homage to the past, while embracing the future.
But enough with the artistic babble...
The song used here is 'Ghosts in the Code' by Aviators, a driving synth-rock song about unlocking your true potential, which I thought was very fiting for the Toa's journey throughout the years.

Really weird feeling nostalgia for this, only two years ago. I still can't believe Bionicle is dead again, and I still love this video.

Amazing Video! I was born in 97, and I have loved bionicle since it began a few years after. It seemed as if the series grew up with me. At first i wasnt sure about this reboot, but at its core, its bionicle. The story came to be more syfy then i liked at the end, and this new Story goes back the the series' roots.

I am commenting for a few reasons: 1. To be the 100th comment 2. I was born in 2000, same year BIONICLE was "created" (concepts and all), so bionicle IS my childhood 3: Amazing Video! Shame G2 did not last :,(

isaac suarez Thank you! Don't get me wrong; Even though this wasn't intended to be a masterpiece, I still tried to do the best I could with the limited editing tools that I have. And I had a lot of fun doing it as well, so I'm glad people still can enjoy it. :D

Go you have such a unique band. I wasn't paying attention to my playlist letting it run for like an hour only to suddenly think, wow this sounds alot like the Aviators band form MLP. Just love the song and your style!

G2 is okay cuz at least we had Bionicle returned, to those who think 5 yrs was too soon, what about Spider-Man between 2007 & 2012? Sony & Marvel rebooted Spider-Man too soon too

That would be cool if they made a movie of this with better animation but I still like the flash animation it's good just a bit more modifications and it will be cool since most of the games in the old Bionicle use them. But still though hopefully there will be a new Bionicle next year with a reboot of the Metru Nui or Glatorian or anything since Bionicle has been most of our childhoods and was enjoyed by a lot of audiences so I don't see why not since Bionicle is the one that started from Disk throwing and had that deep connection with others and a lot of action and adventure but it's weird if they re-made the Legend Reborn with Akimu instead I kinda miss Mata Nui since the last The Legend Reborn movie ended with the prototype remade but the story continues in the Mata Nui Saga I think but I still wished they continued it but with the next movie. Also this is my opinion I don't really care if you agree or not it's just my opinion but if you have any thoughts please add on.

If I reach doing the Master Builders series the only character I take from Gen 2 is Kopaka in his Uniter form yo meet the G1 Tahu and the rest of the other individual heros in the Lego series

Can I ask why the most selling franchise in Lego now have a crappy flash animation, when even the ninjajo tv show is in 3d animation?

[4LVAR] I don't think CG animation is necessarily an upgrade in quality, but each to their own... The reason they chose flash animations for the reboot was to pay homage to the first years of Bionicle; The years of the Mata Nui Online Games A LOT of old fans, including myself, had a deep connection with. And personally, I think they succeeded doing the franchise justice.

Dude, fucking look at that old shit, the desing were simplistic and a bit cartoony too, but they tried the best to keep the scent of bionicle, it were soo damn well done. Is not about they were flash or not, is about it was good, had quality and a good History. Things that this crappy shit doesnt. I love Bionicle and I sincerly want this reboot to be as good as the old or even better. But this isnt a good start (btw, you dont need to insult me if you have a good argument)

@@thecaptainslog9581 Oh okay. Yeah, this was one of the many songs he didn't upload to his channel, which is one of the reasons I chose it, because I wanted more people to discover it. There are a lot more songs from him that went under a lot of people's radar, which is why I highly recommend checking out his album playlists on his channel. He has a ton of hidden gems that never got a lot of recognition.

That one Person Well, it IS a reboot. You can't expect it to be as complex as it used to be in generation 1's last couple years. Besides, that complexity was part of the reason people got disinterested in the line in the first place. I recommend waiting until the books release later this year, before jumping to conclusions. And about the sets... They've actually taken out a lot of previous design flaws and the piece counts have more than doubled, compared to the Toa of the past. Of course I cannot, nor do I want to force my opinions onto you, but it's just incredibly disheartening to see people judge this new generation based on what they know about Hero Factory...

It's not that I'm being a Genwunner but I currently state my opinion on how the old sets were more complex. The parts could be used in multiple ways for moc-ing and I think that with the ccb system it doesn't allow for as much creativity for kids born into gen 2. I honest am lucky to be born into gen 1 because I have pieces for posable waists and such. I don't have a surplus of generation 1 parts, but if lego brought back the old system, I would be more acceptant. However, I do feel like lego has tried, and will hopefully succeed.

That one Person i think lego needs to announce a background story contest, something like imagining the reasons, where the toa came from, who created the protectors and such... my current idea is, that the skull guys are actually undead resistance fighters, who have started a rebellion against the tyrannic gouverment of the solar systen of the planet of okoto, when they lived. when the goverments henchmen killed the resistance fighters, their hate (as everyone thinks) ressurected them. now they go after ekimu´s mask to create a weapon, which could possibly destroy the gouverment. that would make the story less looking flat.

Hi, Nymphe! No, the 'ghosts' in this song is a metaphor for potential hidden inside of us, waiting to be unlocked. It has no relation to any physical phenomenons involving ghosts.

This was made over 3 years ago when they literally just rebooted the franchise. Besides, why does it matter to you if people are still invested in things you're not?

Henning A I don't have any problem with it, but at this point they should've stuck to Hero Factory. This doesn't have the atmosphere of old Bionicles, the music doesn't really fit, it's like they're desperately trying to revive something that is just gone. I've been a long time fan, from 2002 to 2009, I was especially a fan of the early creative/technical sets from the 1st and 2nd gen. This really makes me sad. I don't know if it's because I've grown up and haven't played with bionicles in nearly a decade, but this doesn't have the "feel". Just my humble opinion, you are free to disagree with that.

That's totally understandable. You can't please everyone, after all. Personally, I enjoyed the first wave of Gen2 and how they told the story through these flash animations reminiscent of the old MNOG games and I just felt inspired. The music was my own choice, not LEGOs, so Iunderstand why that can be a hit or miss also. And to be honest, apart from the Toa, I found Generation 2 to be pretty dissapointing overall, both story- and set-wise, but I still appreciated them trying and bringing back something I deeply cared about, even if it was short-lived.

Henning A I can see the influence of the early gens, with this "comic" feel. If I remember correctly, we used to have a comic at the end of each manual and I used to love these as a kid. But hey, we all need to grow up at one point. I'm really thankful to lego for making my childhood so great . Wish I could go back to those times.
