I had no idea what the history of the Catholic Church had been, until I was... I think... Maybe twenty yrs old. I was raised Catholic, and there was never a word about any of this...the torture to cleanse ones soul , the crusades, etc. What we see as fictional horror movies today, used to be happening on the public square. Humans have quite the ability to completely shut off their humanity!? And become absolutely monstrous. The public school education didn't really teach us much....it was good for science and math but it had nothing of philosophy or history! I went to a normal average public school and then a public college...which was the same story! No humanities or history or philosophy, and instead focusing on science and technology. I think this was not just my experience as a middle class person in the United States, but unfortunately, I think this is a part of a prevailing trend in both education and culture.... It was only my own individual interest which led me into bookstores and coffee houses. I think that even a lot of the former public space of independent and intellectual coffee houses are now eroding. All I can do now, is find things on the internet!

It's like, the available culture is getting squeezed out.... Of public perception. 🤔

I have felt that the past year of the coronavirus, has been the entire world as a prison. Everything regulated... No real free space, or unregulated space.

Yeah, the global corporations are in charge of us as biopower....they own the streets...and have systematically wiped out independent coffee house where ppl can debate and hang out...and instead brought places like Starbucks. Just corporate assembly strip mall world...no real culture is left. Just parking lots and well-behaved consumers. I wonder if all humanities will come under their attack at some point. Places where there used to be street performers and spontaneous music....these things are now banned. The street is sanitized like a hospital...free of all sense of human spirit or life. It's only products to consume.
