1:08 I wish I looked half as elegant in repose! Or at any other time, come to think of it. When busking, they remind me of a yacht 😅 Magnificent beauties, darling cygnets. I so enjoyed this ... and learned some too 🤍🤍🤍

Glad you enjoyed the video. Funnily enough, as well as being a threat display, the swans do use busking as a way of 'wind surfing' across water.

It does look like that but it was falling asleep - its eyes start to close in the next bit of the clip but I didn't use that in the video.

Question. Don't the little ones get tired paddling after Mom? I wondered if they climb onto her back to rest.

The cygnets frequently climb on their mother's back. I guess it keeps them safer from predators as well as saving them energy.

Geese are scary but Swans can be down right evil. The mute swan is a invasive and highly aggressive species in NA. There are even some cases of them drowning small dogs and children 😬
