I'm making it harder and harder for myself to edit video games, at this point I have 295 gbs of screen recorded JFO and JS videos which is approximately… Well, in my projects that amounts to 9 hours of very tiny bits of video to work through with 2 to 10 different camera angles. Guess that's what happens when you mostly don't like the game camera in cutscenes.
ANYWAY can you tell how much I love Merrin? And to an extent Merrical / Calmerrin, it is a solo Merrin vid, but Cal Kestis sure managed to be in a third of it anyway. :D But yeah, Merrin is definitely one of my favorite video game ladies, I really hope we get to play as her in the third game. She also reminds me a lot of Wanda Maximoff, with losing her family, starting off as a villain, the accent, the whole witch in red aesthetic. I know I haven't vidded MCU in a while because I'm not happy with the direction it has taken and what they've done to Wanda, but she's still and always will be my favorite MCU character, so I guess by comparing her to Merrin I'm essentially saying Merrin is my favorite Star Wars character… ever? Coincidentally, I think I first heard this cover on someone's Wanda vid, so this whole thing has come full circle.
Also side note, but I hope they fix the shaders or the lighting or whatever in cutscenes, JFO was SO beautiful with mimic wrinkles and skin imperfections and JS doesn't hold a candle to it. The faces are kinda flat and overly smooth, it's heartbreaking to me comparing the two games. I wanna see Merrin's and everyone's beautiful emotions better! But Cal's arm freckles and hair are more detailed than Merrin's or Dagan's or anyone else's face, just... how and why did this happed? 😢
