Great Crested Grebes / Skäggdopping can be found around Malmö year-round. During the breeding season, they prefer inland lakes and reservoirs and in the non-breeding season they can also be found just off the coast. They're can be quite territorial when breeding and sometimes chase Coots and other similar-sized waterbirds.
