Amazing channel my brother! You do us aviarist a huge service. I have found out the hard way, that any type of mulch usually isn’t Beneficial for nest making either. Not only does it retain a lot of moisture, which you elaborated on, but it’s also a heavier and harder material which has cracked eggs, and buried them inside the nest to the point of suffocating. I can’t get rid of the mulch unfortunately, but providing an abundance of OTHER material like the ones stated in this video is key. I just use the coconut fibers from the coconuts I personally eat, and they LOVE it. It’s by far one of the absolute best materials for nest making.

Great aviary, it's nice to see someone who cares about the beauty and the natural look of his aviary. I was wondering why bird breeders usually don't really take time to try to recreate a natural environment in their cages like reptiles breeders or fish breeders.
