Bro... Similar incident for me. i was travelling to chennai from Erode, near Ulundurpet, a dog hit my car, but it ran away and no blood strains. Front bumper heavy damage. I didnt had dashcam or photo or any FIR copy. i went to Tata service center and raised claim through my insurance and just described the incident. But they gave me 100% claim. Total bill for this repair alone was 29k. (it tool 2 weeks for approval and 2 days for repair). Here my Insurance company was Royal Sundaram.

A similar incident happened to me as well. I was driving around the city of Coimbatore. It was an outer city(near thondamuthur) of Coimbatore. I tried to manage not to hit the dog, but my left bumper was hit by the dog. I stopped the car right away and checked on the dog. The dog ran away without any blood stains. Then I found that my coolant oil was leaked as he said in the video. It was my new Alto 800 2022. Then I called the service center and told them I hit a dog. They asked if the dog was dead, and I said no. Then they told me to bring the car to the service center. They finally fixed the car on insurance. I haven't faced any problems with claiming insurance. It cost me 30,000 on insurance. Dashcam is a must-have accessory nowadays. My insurance company was Chola MS & Maruthi Insurance Broking

Over heat sensor works when coolant is available in engine system. We can block leak by m-seal, soap etc. and fill water Fan may not function, still you allow engine to cool, fill water and drive without load. Driving without water may affect head gasket

Dash cam is not mandatory for claim insurance. If it is mandatory why the insurance companies are providing insurance for all the cars . They try to reject as possible to put silly reason

I undersand the difficulty of such accidents. In Velachery, Chennai, while I was crossing the road by walk, I saw some cows were moving in all directions slowly, there was no chance for any accident. But Suddenly, I saw a Maruti car front portion was completely damaged. Very pitty to see the accident. In Chennai, Padappai & Oragadam road people travelling must be carefull because of cows sitting in many places. Especially during night very carefull driving is expected. Happy safety driving.

To make mandatory or demand for Dashcam in India is long way to go. Suzuki dealer had tried to spray vibuthi, somehow you have managed. One thing to note from your experience is to be cautious during night drive, as the possibility of getting help/rescue is very less.

8.02 exactly , yes while driving chennai to tirunelveli i hit a cow (no damage to cow) which is suddenly crossed from opposite lane i took a photo called local service center asked for details… and within a hour reached near by police station and filled a complaint with tat csr copy i then went to service station and they gave full claim

Ji, we have faced the same issue, but it can be claimed fully. Dashcam is not required but you should take the vehicle thru tow vehicle, but you need photos of engine bay and nearby location photo, if you have highway patrol photo and tow vehicle photo with your car registration number visible.

My car Maruti celerio hit the dog two times in between 2 weeks. the dogs are fine they had minor injuries only. even for that small accident, the front bumper is completely broken 😂 and it's fully covered by my insurance policy. Maruti should definitely consider the build quality

I faced an terrible accident in 2021 in our car tata manza We hit an big cow front fully destroyed and cow dead but we didn't have single scratch on our body very terrible experience in my life. for repairing cost was very high for front fully destroyed but tata manza was very nice car

I had two instance of animal hit, once 🐶 & another time 🐮 . Both was cleared by insurance, however I paid out of pocket as well. I had no dash-cam, it was a hatchback vehicle. Driving in speed (60-80km), it is advised to see the road clearly, however we should not try to avoid it & swirl away from road, as damage to vehicle and humans inside is higher than hitting an Animal.

For whatever incident (animal hit, other vehicle hit, or even a scratch done by other vehicle), stop the vehicle and took photos clearly as soon as possible. This is very much needed as it'll help verify the time of the incident and the damages caused by the incident. And dash cam is very much important. It is available from 5k and it will definitely save you someday. It saved lot of time for me for my last claim (a car hit my rear bumper, the dash cam footage helped them verify that all the damages are from single incident).

Even i too faced the same issue, but i didn't face any challenge like this. I was travelling from Tirupur to Palakkad, i hit a dog, it ran away, my car's radiator &front grill bends like C. I called the service centre near Tidel Park, they guide me over Whatsapp video call & asks to take car to their centre. By the 7 th day i got my car replaced with accessories under 100% insurance. I took insurance with Iffco Tokio under Maruthi Insurance Scheme

They will always discourage you to go for insurance coverage. Always go for a claim. Let then reject the claim stating a reason. Then go for appeal to a higher official. They will ultimately agree for a claim.
