Great work mate, huge well done! How did you get on in Birmingham?

Hey Shaun, I think they are one of the best shoes for Hyrox. Put it into content the first time I did a Hyrox race was last year in Manchester and I was wearing the Nike Free Metcon but they are too stiff (great for sleds but nothing else) - the second time was in London and I wore the Puma Nitro 1's which are the pair mentioned in this video. The carbon sole in the Puma Deviate Nitros made the running much more comfortable and in all the events my feet felt stable. I wear the Hoka Clifton 8's for day-to-day running but feel they would be too bulky and not have enough grip for the track. @@tomheath_btp Thanks for the reply mate, really useful! I have the Nike Metcon 7's for my typical weight training sessions but don't find them comfortable to run in at all and definitely not a viable option for a Hyrox given the amount of running involved. I was worried about how the Deviate Nitros would be for the other events with the amount of cushion involved but you saying you felt stable has confirmed them as the ideal shoe for me I think! Hey Ross, luckily it was a great choice. A little bit of a risk considering it was a last minute decision but I am glad that I did. Did you compete at Birmingham?

@@tomheath_btp no doing London and then do the Madrid one I think it’s I haven’t received my shoes just yet I know I’ve got two weeks and they should be here this week. I was just a bit concerned. I haven’t had much time to get a miles in on them

@@tomheath_btp I also blame you LOL so was going to do it in R.A.D ones then hoka (Clifton8) really good running shoe then your right not good grip then got brooks (ghost 14) hated them hated them then got talking to Michael sandbach who just won the doubles from now on running in Saucony pro 3 and they were supposed to be here last week and I’ve just found out they’re not here till next week 😬
