I would love an episode from pregnancy and postpartum from Gray and Evan's perspective. There is not alot of honest unfiltered content from a mans experience. What they feel like when their partner experiences labor, or not feeling as connected during pregnancy or when the baby is born. Would be interesting. Even though they would probably joke the whole episode 😂

I respect you both so much for speaking out on racism when you are in a position where you could stay silent and people would still tune in.

I'm sad, hurting, and devastated by the state of things too. We are seeing an unprecedented time in history. Jess and Bekah, thank you for lifting voices but also providing some important dialogue and moments of joy here. And to any black person who reads this, your life matters, you are worthy and incredible, and I stand with you.

Morgan Meadows thank you so much for this. Know that I say this next piece with love but I think a lot of people just don’t know because if you aren’t in the black community, this isn’t as visible. This time isn’t unprecedented at all. The same thing happened with Rodney King in the 90s. Riots and all. Black people are killed for no reason by law enforcement every day. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit the media’s narrative so it’s not shown as often as it happens. Just think.. what if this hadn’t been recorded?

Jess if you ever need an IV or epidural again just know that the needle does not stay in! They poke you with the needle to pierce the skin and then they take it out. A flexible plastic catheter is left in place in both an IV and epidural

I'm crying laughing at Jess' description of birth 😂And the needle doesn't stay in you after an IV!!! The needle just inserts a tiny tiny plastic noodle, so you can totally move after.

I love birth stories! This episode couldn’t have had better timing. 💕 I’m definitely a pushing broad over here! 🙋🏽‍♀️😅 Contracting was hell for me during my natural birth but once it was time to push it finally felt like I was fucking DOING something to get her here and I definitely felt that crazy feeling of not feeling contractions as strong during pushing. It was hard but I at least felt in control for the first time in hours. 😅

Love conquers all. Kudos to the things you are doing to make a change. Most of the time, evil triumphs because those who are in the position to do something did not do it.

I don’t know if it helps, but for both the IV and epidural, the actual needle doesn’t stay in, just a tiny plastic tube. But I’m with you, super freaked out about the idea of an epidural LOL and I’m a nurse!

I was induced. Never again. My birth was 14 hours but I was confined to the bed because of being induced and then the epidural. I was extremely sore postpartum, even more than i expected id be. We had a mandatory 48 hour stay because I was Group B positive & also diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia. I actually enjoyed being in the hospital for my birth since my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. Birth is wild.

Love you guys 💕 never thought about it until jess’s experience, but is there a reason you can’t just take out the epidural needle once it’s in? Never thought about the protocol of that!

My pushing was only 30 minutes my first birth and my second birth I only pushed for 15 minutes. I had an epidural during my first birth but I was at a birth center for my second birth. In my second birth I dont think my body was ready to push because I didn’t feel the need to push but my midwife asked if I wanted to try pushing and I just wanted it over so I agreed. I was tired of the contractions so my midwife also ran her finger around my cervix to help stimulate the baby to come out. Bekah I would considered asking your doctor or midwife to do that if you are at that point.

How sad that the shade of your skin can affect your whole life 😓😢💔 I hope racism will be fully destroyed and future generations won’t have to go through this. I hope no one goes through this, what I mean is I hope it ends with us. I pray to become a healthcare worker (nurse) and it is on us to make sure that patients of color get the care they deserve. We need to look out for each other

Sadly, I think the events of this past week has set the progression of the advancement for people of color back 60+ years. Never treat violence with more violence.

I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say about the backlash you got on your last post with the Blue lives flag in the toilet.. there was quiet a bit of arguments that came up between your followers and within the broad squad FB group because of it. I actually chose to remove myself from the FB group because I was disappointed to see the fighting that was going on between broads due to the post
