Girl everything you just said is everything I’ve been feeling for a couple of years now. I’m 28 and watching my parents age and watching my soul dog age and start to struggle has been so much to process. Some days I feel overwhelmed with sadness and almost anxiety that time is passing so quickly. And other days I just feel grateful for the time we have in life. Bittersweet is absolutely accurate. ❤️

I'm 24, and I absolutely agree👏🏻 my dad got cancer when I was 11, so that was kinda the start of him aging, but I've definitely noticed it even more over the past couple years. its quite eye opening looking at old pictures from when my sister and i were little, and comparing how my parents looked then to how they look now🥹 and my sweet fur baby just turned 8, which makes me so so sad - his whole face is gray, and he's starting to slow down a bit🥺🤧

“Don’t wish your life away even if things aren’t exactly how you want them” I really needed that. I’ve felt very defeated the past few weeks at a job I can’t leave yet but that I hate. I feel like I worked so hard to get a good job and ended up at an awful place that has been detrimental to my mental health. But like you said it’s temporary. Thanks for the reminder Jas. Also, I love your short hair. I’m getting mine cut again this weekend. I’ve never liked my long hair either. Would you consider doing a video of how you style your short hair?

This is probably one of the deepest videos that I’ve seen from you in a long time if not ever. I loved seeing that side of you, I wouldn’t have really guessed that you were a crier like that lol but I’m 27 myself and I also feel like, I just see things so differently now than I did even just a few years ago. Happy birthday! 🥳🎉 I’m 50 and it really does feel like 5 mins ago I was a carefree teenager. I remember wanting to be older so I could do what I wanted to do. I wish I knew then what I know now and that is to enjoy everyday. Slow down and take life in as it comes, the good and the bad. We only get one life and and in the grand scheme of things, it goes by in the blink of an eye. Live, laugh, love 🤍

Happy birthday! I can fully connect with the aging process. I am going to be 33 and sometimes still feel like 18. And watching parents aging is sometimes rough to see. Feel this. My 25th was March 10th and I cried so much. Everyone was like omg you’re so young and laughing and while yes, I know I’m Still young, it’s bittersweet. Time is flying. I feel like just yesterday I graduated high school and turned 18 and now I’m 25 and a mom to 3 🥹

I resonated with this so much!! I'm just a few months younger than you and I have been having all the same thoughts. I am past the point in my life where I am only looking forward to what's next. I want to enjoy what is happening in my life right now, today. I am also an only child and my parents were older when they had me so it is hard seeing them age but thankful for their good health. I cherish all the time I get to spend with them. Same goes with my dog, she's only 3 but I know the time with her will never feel like enough. Happy early birthday!!

My birthday is April 8th, I just ordered the brush set as a birthday present to myself🥰 I’m turning 29 and everything you said hits home so much. I have a 4 year old and a fur baby so time really is so apparent to me it feels like. I don’t mind getting older most of the time but watching everything age around me is such an emotional experience, but I think the most important thing is truly to not wish your life away like you said. Some days are going to be really hard but we can get through them and life is such a beautiful gift, we shouldn’t waste it with worry. My grandma always told me “Stressing about a situation doesn’t do anything to solve it, so don’t waste your time”. It took a long time for me to internalize that and for it to make sense but it’s true. I see it now. Life is too short to spend all our time missing out because we’re worried, stressed, scared. We can feel those things in passing and let them go but we can’t let them rule our lives❤️

The more I watch your videos the more I find myself so relatable to you. Everything you said is so spot on. Especially the part about us getting older and our parents aging with us. It is very bitter sweet, and even though I don’t feel old at 28, it doesn’t stop me from thinking my parents are getting older and everything that goes along with that and the inevitable. I am the youngest of 3 and extremely close to my parents so I really felt what you said and took it to heart. Yes, I agree about watching your parents. I lost my parents within two years of each other (it’s okay). I have no regrets bc I spent time and took care of them until they passed. Spend as much time as you can with them, call them, text them and always tell them you love them. I miss mine terribly. Cherish your time and make memories 🥰

Completely resonated with everything you said girl... We've been trying to conceive for 4 years now (married 8), and it's been the hardest journey to travel. BUT- I will say in the past year or so, I have finally found the key to enjoying the moment and embracing the season I'M IN NOW. And let me tell you my husband and I are so much happier, stronger in our relationship, and just overall at peace with where our life is and where its going. Also totally relate to watching our parents age... mine are 64 and 60.. and my mother is losing her eyesight due to diabetes. But just believing for her miracle as well as my own... and staying positive and living in the moment. I never comment on videos.. but within the first 10 min you had literally said everything I needed to hear today. Love you Jas. Thank you for you calm demeanor and sweet spirit. Jas, I’ve been watching you since I was around 13/14 and needed tips for makeup in high school😂 I’m turning 20 this year and I could never get sick of your channel is just such a vibe and peaceful, and I ONLY go by your recommendations. Hey beautiful! There are tons of us that totally understand what you are feeling. I know you already know this but enjoy every moment you can with your parents. I lost my mother ( actually my grandfather, mother, and brother) all within 6 months in 2021 and I miss talking to her everyday about pointless stuff. My advice because yes I’m older than you (lol) is to enjoy life and love but don’t rush through it. Love you girl!!💜

I was so focused on what you were saying I forgot I was watching a makeup tutorial lol. But everything you said about aging is so relatable. I’m glad you talked about this because I think you brought up a lot of points that are talked about enough or some ppl are scared to say. Turning 27 (I’m now 33) was the first bday where I was like “wow! I’m really getting older.” It hit me like a ton of bricks and I also was emotional about it. The weight of what it means to get older, watch those around you get older, and realizing the responsibilities you have. Aging is a gift but man, as you said, it can be bittersweet! I feel that girl! happy birthday! It's CRAZY how fast time goes by!! I just turned 30 last month and it's a crazy feeling! Its also a weird feeling seeing your parents age. Sadly, my mom passed away in 2021. After that, I really started to appreciate life. I tell my younger siblings all the time to enjoy their age because they'll be my age before they know it lol life is short and it really does go faster the older you get!

Aww Jas! 🥺 I’m 28 and i also still feel like a teen!! I get so emotional remembering moments in my past like how tf did the years go by so fast! My grandma passed in 2018 and it’s so weird remembering that i once had a grandma and we just had to move on with our lives without her it’s so depressing tbh i wish people talked about it more too :(

I always think of the younger me! I’m 41 years young and I’ve gotten in my feeling about life, family, kids, dog etc. but always trying to think of what new adventures, hobbies and things I want to explore, accomplish, and learn in the next 50 years! I felt this so much. I'll be 31 this year God willing and started feeling the same way as I approached my late 20s. Every time I think I'm not doing enough I start to remind myself that I have almost everything I used to dream of. I'm starting to be more intentional about being grateful for all the things I have right here and now. I tell my daughter all the time to stop rushing to grow up because she will miss these days just like my own mama used to tell me. Happy bday and thanks for sharing❤

I'll be 45 in August and it really does go fast watching my babies have babies, I lost my min pin in October 2 years ago and the rescue we used reached out w a chihuahua which has honestly been so healing but watching your parents and pets age is very hard enjoy every moment bc time really does fly

I just started doing a whole new skin prep for my foundation and my face couldn’t be smoother!!!! I use the elf woah glow, then the elf matter putty primer, and then the elf hydro grip primer and OMG it is a game changer!!! My foundation has never went on smoother Jas! Give it a try 😊

Hi Jas, You are 100% right on EVERYTHING you said. I remember when I was 28 then in a blink of an eye here I am at almost 53 (May). I have 2 beautiful daughters (27... March baby 😊 and 25 October baby) and a BEAUTIFUL 3yr old Granddaughter. I have NO IDEA how any of that happened 😕. How did my daughters get that old and why is my youngest a mom?!?! Geez!!! Time certainly does fly by, but I WOULD NOT change any of it for anything!! The only thing I would change is that I wished my dad could of met his 3 grandchildren (my nephew also) and his great Granddaughter. He died in 1990 (by his own doing 😢) when I just turned 20. I HOPE you have a VERY SAFE AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I love you tons... and don't cry too much, you're too beautiful to cry 😉😊💜
