Spend the week with me as I celebrate my birthday! My friend Shanta takes me on an adventure in the city where I get my first surprise - a day at the spa! Later that evening, my husband Alex brings me to a very unique seafood restaurant. A few days later, we head to Niagara-on-the-lake for the weekend but are faced with a potentially nasty snowstorm. Luckily we make it without incident and settle into our hotel - Best Western Colonel Butler Inn. I give you a full room tour before we grab a quick dinner at a bar conveniently located right beside our hotel. The following day we explore the main street of Niagara-on-the-lake, trying not get blown away by the intense winds. The rest of the afternoon is spent at the Pillar and Post for the Sip & Savor event held outside in the Gardens. We are very miserable in the wind and bitter cold but fortunately we seek refuge in a small indoor area, fitted with tables, chairs and live music too! We have to roll ourselves back to the hotel where we spend the rest of the evening digesting all the delicious food we ate. On our last day, we make a quick stop at Reif Estate winery to pick up some wine before heading back home. Enjoy!
