Condemning sexual immorality within the COGIC seems logical and justified. Standing for righteousness to holiness is inherent when you are against the conduct of homosexuals within the COGIC. In the midst of indifference there can still be integrity and honor. If God has commanded humanity not to bear false witness against thy neighbor, then slandering a person over indifference still isn't the will of God. Slander doesn't bring understanding, but God's will does. Idolatry is as old as the scripture and has always been controversial. When we serve ourselves and not the Holy Spirit we fall wayside to sin and immorality. God told us to love our neighbor not slander them. Homosexual behavior is a result of seeking the world 🌎 instead of the Kingdom of Heaven!🙏💯

Jesus did not rebuke in secret. Remember he rebuked the so-called righteous people in the temple? He turned over tables for doing things wrong and unrighteously in the Temple (House of God.). Although...I've got nothing against Dr Carter here, and I somewhat agree with the SUBSTANCE... I believe that the ROOT of the problem was within his DELIVERY. Not only did he exercise poor "WORD choices," but the passionate energy with which he VOICED them was perceived as mean-spirited, judgmental, BIGOTED, humiliating & condemnatory. One thing I've learned is that once you've insulted the person, he/she won't even TRY to hear you anyway. There ARE ways to reach the SOUL without disrespecting the vessel housing it.

I saw that live when Carter said what he said! Those on that stage applauded him! The media got wind of what was said and they threw him under the bus to be politically correct! There was more but that comment seemed to be the one that got him in trouble!

These issues have been going on in the church for decades. Until Jake's and P Diddy issues come up, the church now wants to talk about it. Many want to talk about Kirk Franklin, William Murphy, and others.

Great subject. I was there that night when that message was preached. A lot has changed since then. One Bishop Blake is no longer pastoring West Angeles COGIC. He and Carter made amends. I can tell you I feel Blake was wrong in the beginning but in the aftermath Carter was wrong. Unfortunately, Carter has continued his ungodly accusations and gossip. There is much I could say but Carter has lost the message because he is still focusing on the money bag and getting back at people who stopped letting him preach.

You didn't play the part that caused Bishop Blake to rebuke Earl Carter. It wasn't the part about Homosexuality. He affirmed the message about homosexuality. It was the SPECIFIC part of Earl Carter saying something to the fact of he wished homosexual men would bleed from their behinds like women do. Listen to the statement Bishop Blake made and he'll tell you that's what it was. Earl Carter went on a rampage following this attacking Bishop Blake, his family, and the Church of God in Christ as a whole. PLEASE don't leave this video up looking like Earl Carter was a victim. He refused to accept what Bishop said about that ONE PART of his message and took it as a rebuke of his entire message. That was not the case. I enjoyed the message when he preached it and missed the part that Bishop addressed. When I went back to listen, I found it cringe-worthy. I don't know you, Bishop Blake, or Earl Carter personally, but I do know what has been released publicly. Earl Carter was wrong for that part and should have simply apologized. He didn't, went on an attack, and therefore became a liability. Pray for all.

His message and your parroting of it is “sinful” … you hear no Jesus in this message…He is absent in character, spirit, & methodology here and your amens are untoward God! When someone gets up and preaches their opinion it does not compel it repels!!!
