Pastor, maybe if you knew your Bible, you would realize that a person can’t accept Jesus until God first grants them spiritual life or quickens them as scripture often tells us. Are you familiar with Ephesians 2:1 along with John 5:21 and 24. In Luke chapter 9, we read about Jesus’ interactions with a wealthy young man who he invites to follow him, and the young man puts him off by saying he wants to bury his father first, even though his father probably did not just recently die he wants to wait until he does. The point is: the Lord Jesus tells him to “let the dead bury their dead.” What does that mean except the spiritually dead bury the physically dead as it can’t mean let the physically dead bury the physically dead now, can it? If you don’t understand the Bible from Genesis chapter 3 on, you really get off track as you and so many other non-reformed preachers do.
