Seven months after several bred bison were delivered to Cote First Nation in Saskatchewan, new life has arrived.
For many, the birth of 12 calves is a sign of hope and the re-establishment of the buffalo on traditional Indigenous land means much more.

I'm Anishinawbe from that area, I got the hell outta there because I just couldn't deal with the racism and hate in that province. And people in Sask. are so far behind in every way our people get caught in that slow moving "progress". Btw that "progress" is ruining our environment for our kids and grandkids.
