Welcome Bissell nutjobs. :)
Once again, you seemingly can't kill a Bissell. All 4 bearings are bad but I'm undecided if performing an extensive refurb on this 2012 abused vacuum is really worth it. I already have a 6585 from 2008.
If I did, that would bring my Bissell total to 6. Mmmmmmmm.........

I soaked mine in the sink with some Mrs. Myers soap and with HOT water. Then I used the sink sprayer on the pleats while holding them open. I also used a toothbrush in there. It came out really clean and I set it in the sun to dry. I soaked the foam parts too then sprayed them with really hot water and they came clean as well. The hose I took off then let it soak in the sink, I mashed them together and twisted at the same time while running water through the hose, It came out super nice. I think these are great vacuum cleaners. With a vortex, two foam and a filter in the bottom plus what looks like a removable Hepa filter in the front these really clean the carpet and air while doing using it. These weren't too bad for the price back then, as I recall these were Walmart editions. Bad thing though was the constant cleaning of the filters on this style upright. We had a more basic styled one that was black with blue accents.

I Have A Bissell Form 2008. The Older Ones Are Much Better, They Also Last Longer. Mine Is A Powerforce Bagged.

You should save this BIssell. I say that the 68C7 is one of the rare 12 Amp versions of the Helix Turbo model before they went to 10 Amps with the 68C71.

I have one too & I've never knew how 2 use the wand part...was hoping I cud find out here on YT. Too bad I didn't pay attention 2 the title! My old dirty vacuum seriously needs an upgrade! Hahaha🤣

Ur refurbished vacuum is soooo much cleaner than mine! 🤣 I just wanted 2 c how u use the wand part. I've had mine since 2014 haha n e ways THANKS 4 the info👍

With all these curb finds you come across you could recondition them and sell them on. Then put the $$ towards some different machines you don't have that you might come across in thrift stores like Filter Queen, Sebo etc or older vintage machines from the 40s/50s etc and see how they test and compare with each other with all the various tests you do.🤔 Just a idea. 🙂

I would love to see a WHCC with this bissell, and i will soon be getting a dirt devil dynamite with bad bearing in the motor and brushroll but that will give me something to do

Your bissell powerforce helix turbo is like my bissell powergroom bagless but the only difference is that yours is red and mine is blue

@@VacLab Does buying a vacuum off someone who found it on the curb count? lol I got a Filtex Model #1 that way. Dude found it on trash day and thought it was "old enough to be worth something". He had it out on his deck in the rain in the auction photos - how it survived IDK as its just a leatherette sheet-wrapped cardboard tube!

These are really decent vacuums. Filtration aside. At least it doesn’t spew.

Oh I got a idea you you had to get some bearings and take is Singapore in Washington in the bathtub and that’s good I have that vacuum to But my switch vacuum snap is broken
