Thank you so much. I think your advice on a stand up electric mop is great before I spent the money on a robot mop. Looks easy to use and that is what I am concerned with. Not to throw out my back scrubbing with a regular mop, that is my main concern.
@katasticone Жыл бұрын
Both tools have a place for me. We have cats - and that means cat hair and cat pukes - and our LVP is a dark color that shows EVERYTHING. The standup model is great for a deep clean (we have both the polishing version you have and the standup crosswave). The crossswave robot is a daily run to keep it looking good in between real cleanings. I definitely don't regret picking up the robot. You just have to have realistic expectations of what it can and cannot do.

Daily/Frequent Damp Mopping protects and can extend the life of floors because it doesn't use a lot of water/harsh chemicals/scrubbing (usually only warm water). Daily/Frequent Damp Mopping also cuts down on the number of times and frequency of heavy cleanings that requires harsh chemicals, scrubbing and large amounts of water that shortens the life of Floors and the Floor Finish... Before Damp Mopping you always sweep to remove any dirt that can scratch the floor surface while mopping... then spot clean heavy soiled spots (so you don't spread it around the whole floor... you can use spot cleaning mode with mid/max water... rinse pads and repeat until spot/pads are clean)... you then Damp Mop the whole floor... The purpose of a damp mop is daily/frequent light cleaning... Cut down number of Heavy Cleanings... Extend the life of your Floor/Finish...
@joa85933 жыл бұрын
This probably isn't true anymore with modern detergents and flooring. Yeah, Linoleum and ammonia like the old days you're going to have a problem, but laminate and a neutral detergent like LAE or SLS you can do a heavy cleaning every day without issue.

This works perfectly on my living room / kitchen that is all "Luxury Vinyl". Of course it will never be able to get off hard substances. For that you need human power.

It really blows my mind that these companies have all these tech and robotic engineers yet none of them can design a freaking mopping robot that puts function over form and actually cleans dirt from hard floors.
@misterkota12522 жыл бұрын
The whole idea of using a robotic mop is to MAINTAIN a clean floor. When you get a robotic mop you are supposed to start off with a clean floor, and the mop KEEPS it clean by running any time you’re away. These simply are not meant for cleaning up tough dirt and spills.

So I have around 15 years of experience owning various robotic mops and the best and most effective ones by far were the ones that work by spraying water down, scrub with a spinning roller and and squeegees the dirty water into a separate tank. So I bet this one wouldn’t cut it for someone who doesn’t want dirty water spread all over without being sucked up. This would just push dirt around.

Nice review - lots of good info. Do you feel the SpinWave's rotating pads do a better job than the gravity/drag mop pads like those on the S5/S6 Max, or are they about the same? Also curious about what you think of the SpinWave's navigation. Can it handle more complex areas like dining rooms or living rooms with lots of chairs/tables to interrupt its patterns, or will it get lost? Thanks again for the review!
@AdamsReviews3 жыл бұрын
I will do a test where it cleans around the kitchen table and chairs. It IMO for sure clean better then any drag mop however I can guarantee the roborocks vacuum portion will blow this one away.

@@AdamsReviews Awesome, I’ll definitely look forward to checking out that test. Good to know it outperforms drag mops. I’d probably never use the vac portion - I’m just looking for a decent alternative to the M6. Sounds like it might outperform the M6 in terms of cleaning (but not navigation).

Shame, I use an RoboRock S5 choose rooms or all then send it out as a vac x2 at Max, then following day send it out as mop x2 and it does ok but it's more just to get the coffee drip. I also spray a little Eucalyptus on the floor but not to much as it will sit and spin till finds a way to move, over all it does enough. Lidar helps so its smart and a big step up from a "My Genie 2000" which does my garage when I drive somewhere. As for the upright it has its own weight Bigger water tank and you pushing it along the floor which I would say helps. Good demo after watching the unboxing of this robot SpinWave, and yes they do need to be smarter. Cheers. P.S. going to watch the Samsung JetBot, It looks like it has all the weight on top so instead of dragging like this, it will benefit more from the downward force like as I said with the Bissel Upright. Cheers.

FYI - Damp Mops are for light Frequent/Daily cleaning... The Robo Mop (Damp Mop) is limited to light cleaning... The Mop does not have the ability to rinse... You are wasting your time trying to clean anything other than light soiled floors and your just spreading the mess around the room... When cleaning heavy soiled floors you clean in sections and rinse and repeat until the rinse water runs clean then move to next section... It is beyond the ability of these Robo 'Damp' Mops to clean Heavy Soiled Floors...
@AdamsReviews3 жыл бұрын
Yes I understand that. But you need something to show. A video of it cleaning a floor with dust would be pointless and there will come a point where you do have a dried on stain that it wont be able to get up.

These robots are not designed to polish pudding off your floors. Try cleaning the same mess by hand with the pad it comes with, then take that same pad and wipe a streak on your counter. You’ll notice it won’t be very clean. When you’re using a robot to clean a pudding mess, all that is held in the pad and just spread thinly over the rest of your floors. All 2 in 1 vacmops are meant for is for the damp cloth to pick up whatever dust that couldn’t be picked up by the vacuum or light sanitation.
