It is a proven scientific fact that you can not play maggot brain on your guitar without making faces. Best cover out there....he throws out technical at 2.49 and maggot brain takes over with pure emotion

Can anyone tell me what model of Fender guitar he's playing?
@RobRoane2 жыл бұрын
It’s actually a discontinued Warmoth body with a Fender neck. All the electronics he has installed himself and those have probably changed a couple times since this was filmed.
@TrinidadJamesWoods2 жыл бұрын
@@RobRoane Thanks for the reply. I was totally stumped.
@RobRoane2 жыл бұрын
@@TrinidadJamesWoods and really that’s probably not the fender neck he’s using now. It’s really a Frankenstein’s monster of a guitar.

I don't know, but this seems to me to be a version that seems to always be starting into the song without ever getting to the song. There's a key phrase in Maggot Brain, that this guy never plays, and based on that I just feel frustrated. He's obviously a great player, who was looking to do his own version, but not to ever play the most noticeable phrase in this great song?.........
@binkydamauler4 жыл бұрын
agreed,... had to cut it short ☹

Improv over the pentatonic scale does not make it Maggot Brain.

@mikemueller64614 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t agree more. Noodling around at the twelfth fret, however soulfully done, is not a cover of Maggot Brain. Great solo but without at least a handful of key phrases (particularly the heavy bends at the very beginning) it just isn’t Maggot Brain.
