Intended as support to the small town crochet group I started, but welcome to everyone. I've been crocheting baskets like crazy and wanted to show them to you. I don't always feel like a very creative person, but once I started making these I was able to see different color combinations like never before. I had a really good time making them and hope you enjoy and can find some inspiration to make your own!

I found this same pattern and just LOVE making baskets. Christmas gifts are being stacked up as I type. So easy and fun. I am going to do some with the long handle idea! Thank you.

When I make a bag , I take Cardboard Boxes and cut inserts to make the bottoms stay in shape. . Love your bags. You should try to sell them . Ninette Bird- The Caribbean Wife - Texas.

LOL These may be the MOST addictive thing I've ever made. I see one and think it's my favorite, then see another, no I like that one more..... Chose colors that mean something or inspire you and then you always think of that thing. I love all your bags. I started making 2 strand baskets and bags this year. Donna wolf has one that I like. And for the bottom to hold it’s shape I did a single crochet crab stitch on the bottom where I did the back loop. It looks really nice. My favorite of all your bags are the oblong one I gotta try that one for sure. First time watching your videos I like crocheters that think outside the box

Thanks for all these nice basket ideas ! Do you find that you mostly prefer to do joined rounds, vs. the spiral method? I think that both can look good . I tend to like the seamless look from the spiral method, but yours don't show a "seam" really. Interested in your thoughts, if possible

Hi annmarycharles! While working in the round gives a beautiful seamless look, then you have to deal with the final row and working slip stitches to make the top round look even. I tend to go back and forth, depending on my mood. Amy, these are awesome. You must speed crochet. It would take me more than a couple days to make one but I am thinking oval bottom with long handles to carry as a tote bag!

Thanks, Sherri! I have made some normal,1 strand of yarn tote bags. But when it comes to lining them, I tend to leave them unfinished. I have not tried the tote bag with multiple strand method, but I thank you for the suggestion. Look forward to that completed object in another video. ;)
