Hey bush I’m curious to see how you prepare the Bonita bro! Up north we chop it up and put them in mason jars and boil them not fresh tuna sandwiches!!! People call them trash fish lol little do they know it’s one of the best tuna sandwiches out there

🌴 hey bush it looked like a great day out there I couldn’t believe the amount of bait down there and the fish were still hitting, that school of ray’s was cool to see ,are you using a sabiki to get sardines ? Or cast netting? I need to get out there 😆👍🏼

@@FishOnChannel thx! I always seem to not head down there when the fish are biting. The dolphins are my biggest enemy every-time. We only make it to Skyway about 1-2 times a year if we are lucky. Keeping our fingers crossed for our June trip there.

The mustad are not near as sharp as the eagle claw long shank for some reason, brand new. If you think your hook is too dull, barely scrape the point on your finger nail, it should mark it lightly

Except for shark and crab bait, there is no point in keeping bonita. It is unfit for human consumption. And some guy is keeping a bonita in a bucket of hot water. It will not make it taste any better.

@@FishOnChannel here is what my personal experience is based on - I have talked to many captains and guides and none of them were able to make a decent meal out of bonita. And none of them knew anyone who ever did. If you know a bonita recipe to make it edible, please post it.
