BTW their name is pronounced Lily-ack, it’s the Romanian word for bat, specifically vampire bat. Their parents were both raised in Romania, their dad near Vlad’s (Dracula) castle. Their parents met in the US after their families immigrated here. A couple of things to keep in mind, they were very young when they first started performing and ranged in age from 20 to 11 years old when they wrote this. Sam the guitarist is the oldest, followed by Abigail the drummer, Melody the vocalist, Ethan on bass and Justin on keyboards. This was recorded in their apartment in the LA during the pandemic and they actually created the backdrop themselves. In a bloopers video they were joking about trying to get the smoke out of the apartment afterwards. I recommend you watch a couple of live performances, Mars (live in Cummings, GA) or Not Afraid. Other originals are Dear Father, We Are the Children, Vertigo, Mystery, Sail Away, Carousel, Madness, Rise Up. They do great covers too, Holy Diver, Last in Line, Master of Puppets (live featuring Aiden Fisher), Hate Myself first Loving You, Piece of My Heart, Symphony of Destruction, Heaven and Hell.

I love Liliac's music. I love this song, but it's one of the songs you check out to see where they came from not to see where they're at now. The argument can be made that when this song was recorded that some of the songs were much better than others. But I think that maybe "Not Afraid" Extended Version (Live) with clips for several of their concerts is a good original by them, "Master of Puppets" from a live encore with Aiden Fisher from the TV show, 'Stranger Things' is a good cover. Sail Away is a great, amazing Ballad. But there is a whole catalog of both Originals and Covers to check out. You have to remember that they have chosen to NOT be represented by a record company or a production team. They do everything in house themselves. Maybe that's a mistake or maybe not, but it's their choice and they still put out awesome, awesome music. There is NO young rock singer today that has anywhere near the vocals that Melody has and there is no young guitarist in my mind that is better than Sam. Check out their live concert version of their original, "Mars" from Cumming, Georgia, with Sam's monster guitar solo, or their cover video of the Black Sabbath, with Dio, song, "Heaven and Hell". Their original 'Carousel" or their cover of Ozzy and Lita Ford's song, "Close My Eyes Forever". There is just so much of both Original and Cover music to choose from here. And the thing I love about this band is that they are not to be put in a box, because, just when you think you know them, they do something that is totally not expected like an acoustic from Nirvana or a totally different take on a White Stripes song or their song, "Somber Cry". For me that keeps it fresh and interesting. Oh, and I love The Warning as well and I don't feel that I have to make a choice between them...that's just immature and childish. They are both great bands, but they're like apples and oranges...you don't have to hate one to love the other!

Mars live in Cumming GA is a great original. Madness is a fairly current song that is great IMO. Seven Nation Army, Master of Puppets, Symphony of Destruction, and I hate Myself for Loving You are some great covers. They have a ton of songs to choose from, original and Covers. Melody just turned 22 last December....she has been singing since she was 8 years old. And grew up playing the Bass Guitar...until Ethan got old enough to hold one... The "connection"? She wrote about a boyfriend...and it went downhill.....

Watch them do their cover of "Heaven and Hell" by Black Sabbath or "Carousel" which is Liliac's original. They also did a cover of Dream On" by Aerosmith. Just to let you know, that video that you just watched was filmed in their den at home and dad filmed it. They are all siblings. Brothers and sisters. it was filmed about 4 years ago I think. Sail Away is a great ballad of theirs. Chain of Thorns, We Are The Children, and Mars are all great songs. They also do a great cover of The Last in Line.

"Dancing In The Dark" is another really good one one of my favorites (Original).There is so many directions you can go with them as to what songs you wanna hear they are all phenomenal covers and originals. Why don't you lady's het together and and go through their covers they do and pick one. They cover everything from Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody To Love" to Joan Jetts "I Hate Myself For Loving You" to Metallica's "Master Of Puppets" there is a live version that came out after they put out their video version. If you wanna hear a Rock Ballad they did that would be "Sail Away" another Orginal. They also do "Dio" cover/tributes "Holy Diver" "Rainbow In The Dark" "Last In Line" and their most current released a few months ago "Heaven And Hell" when Dio was with Black Sabbath.

So many songs , tributes and their origionals for you to enjoy . Try the live encore performance they did at the end of a show with Aiden Fisher of "Stranger things" of "Master of Puppets".

Thanks lovely ladies, She sounds like the love child of Ronnie James Dio and Janis. Some people put Liliac and The Warning in the same breath when talking about the future of rock, although pretty sure the 4 of us disagree there. But I still like Liliac too, just not at Warning level. And almost forg0t to mention they are 5 siblings.

Liliac are a talented group. But their songwriting is lacking. I recommend you check out some of their covers. They do an excellent job.

Never seen such a hyped group of wannabe rock stars. Voice is unique sure but the cheesy hand movements and the backyard or garage video set and location are just low quality. Amateurs.
