6:32 Proton has now implemented reports as well (password breach, weak/reused passwords, missing 2FA etc). This service is getting better and better by the day

I actually use Vaultwarden a fork from Bitwarden which I have easily selfhosted on a RasberryPI. 1 docker command is all that is required

@@mattplaygamez Valid Option, though, you better have checked how you gonna backup that stuff, including off- site backups. The password database is one of the few things one must not ever loose access over. ...which is why I use Bitwarden so far. Because I don't trust myself enough to not loose it 😅 And I couldn't guarantee, that it'll have 100% uptime. Which is what I need in my PW manager. ...but for anyone who is better digitally organized then me, self hosting vaultwarden is great. Would do, if I could guarantee I wouldn't mess up and loose access to all my accounts 😂

Proton all the way. Won’t take much to make Bitwarden obsolete and I’m taking advantage of it before I’d have to switch soon anyway.

Switched to Proton Pass from BitWarden about a month ago. It is easier to use and robust enough for my needs.

You forgot to mention, the paid version of bitwarden is 10$ yearly and even less if you use a family plan (40$ per year for 6 ppl) so its a no brainer, bitwarden is just best in all regards. About the interface, be honest how much time are you gonna spend in the UI? Bitwaden ui is fine, the only time you'd open it is to auto-fill in passwords and that UI that comes up with the extension icon is great and simple.

I think im gonna go with proton, I really like the simpler and polished interface and the aliases feature is def killer. At the moment both Bitwarden and Proton Pass are priced €10 per year

Proton pass does do password breaches, missing 2FA and Weak Password. They do not do Duplicates though.

Not so intuitive, but a big fan of Keepass/Keepass-XC with the files syncing between my computer and phone using Syncthing.

😮 I trust no one! Manually adding a few secret characters in front and behind your password 🔑 ensures that no one will know your password for all your accounts 💰 The password manager does 99% of the heavy lifting and then all you need to know is just those special characters that you can apply to the rest of your passwords ❤❤ Awesome content as usual ❤❤

Visually I like proton better, but i there’s no autofill from extension then it’s useless. Of course it shows autofill in input field, but I’ve more than 250 login items in few websites. I need to use search. Second - I need to have PRO plan to order them in folders/vaults? That’s nonsense

@@RihardsVeters and if you need those features then he recommends bitwarden. but you are accusing him of being paid by proton. I pay for both managers right now and am a long time bitwarden user, in my daily use i lean towards proton, so what you consider basic features are not basic at all in my use case, proton is going to be the one that keeps getting my money in the end.

@@RihardsVeters its useless to you, not everyone needs that, i have never had a use for that and i have hundreds (749) of stored passwords and (53) notes, he says if you need such and such then get bitwarden, but you accuse him of being paid by proton? settle down. i pay for both right now, and have been a long time paid user of bitwarden, but in my daily use case its proton that will be getting my money for the future.
