Just finished this project yesterday took about four hours mostly because of being very careful and documenting everything along the way. I could not have done it without this video. Two of the screws were completely loose in the other two were about to fall out. I shutter to think what might have happened if they all came loose. Couple of things are missing. The electrical contact fitting near the ignition switch screw comes out easily and is attached to a spring which needs to be removed and re-fit onto that fitting when rebuilding. Perhaps that’s in your video on changing the ignition switch. The second is the tilt wheel plastic tab that connects with the metal rod when you takeoff the plastic cover piece which surrounds the tilt wheel rod. That falls out easily and it took me a while to figure out where it went back in. I was surprised when I got it all back together and it is perfect. Everything works. The tools are necessary so be sure to get them first.

Very helpful! I need to replace the shaft on my steering wheel for an '84 GW. I have gotten as far as taking out the turn signal pieces. I feel much more confident going forward with this video to use as a reference. Thanks!

Are the inner shafts on a 68 and a 78 gladiator/J10 interchangeable?. Asking because I bought an entire 68 j3000 cab for my rotted 78, gladiator cab is already secured to j10s frame. Edit: No i dont want to use the j10s steering column I prefer the old look and not having to cut metal on my new cab

You did not show how you got the shroud off. Crucial cheating
