This is more of a demo. I would like to know the process and how you decide where what goes. Overall it's neat to watch artists at work.

yeah, it does. they're showing you the techniques and ways they do face ups with no unnecessary commentary.

@@keswong4204 But they dont even show the materials used, how can I learn to make it if I dont even know the materials I should use? I have watched no comentary tutorials before and they at least put a list of the materials they used or show them on camera
@keswong42045 жыл бұрын
@@milenartmeire2588 uhh.. go watch a video on facuep supplies...? this video is not saying what you need, it's how to do it. it was made for those who actually put research in it, who actually want to do it. it's not just saying, "oh grab some powder stuff and some type of paint and make the face." you in general should already know the materials used. this type of thing is not just a one-video tutorial. there's a lot more stuff going into it, money, materials, etc.
@milenartmeire25885 жыл бұрын
@@keswong4204 Oh my...you're really going out of your way on defending this artist's bad choice for a title(and sounding kinda pretentious along the way)... Of course I know that there is a lot of stuff you need to know for face ups and that it needs a lot of work, that's why I was researching about it and came across this video in the first place, because it said it was a TUTORIAL, while the video itself is mostly a face up process video... and the video is not "saying" much how you do it either, it is just ..."doing" it. I know that people can learn from it, I watch videos on people making sculptures all the time and I try to recreate them, but those aren't tutorials, just like this video.

At the start of the video.Are you using acrylic paint to do the pink around the eyes or are you using a damp brush to apply soft pastels. I do not have much look with applying pastels . I paint with Acrylic paint a lot and have never used it in my dolls. I do not mean to bother you. I just want to lrn ways to do a BJD faceup.

Queen bagel no, they're not. No when they've been diluted. You have to dilute paint if you're going to use it on a doll, else you'll get a chunky, streaky faceup. Use gouache; it's kind of like watercolor and very reliable.

What make is this bjd?
@harperreese8468 жыл бұрын
+arianna day bjd stands for "ball-jointed doll" and you can tell this is a bjd because the top of the head is not shown here. what i mean is that bjd's are held together with either elastics (i assume typically for smaller dolls) or strings that is tightened. the string that holds the body together typically runs from a hook in the pelvis piece, through the abdominal piece, up into the head piece, and is held on with a hook on the inside of the top of the head. that part is removable so people can take apart bjd's and retighten strings or change the eyes to something different.
