Jean Baptiste Chalbos AKA 'Jibs' is an old school Black Belt under Mariusz Linke of the notorious Gold Team in Poland . Originally from a small town in France, he started Judo well before Jiu-Jitsu competitions were even legal in France and eventually a job offer would lead him to Ireland.
The Host Mac and JB met back in 2017 in a small gym in Yokohama and this brief encounter, would eventually move JB from working in Ireland to managing and coaching Temple Jiu-Jitsu in Phuket, Thailand.
Mac caught up with Jibs for first since their encounter in 2017 to catch up on their respective lives. From the closing of Temple Jiu-Jitsu, a horrific health scare and to now Coaching in Hong Kong a lot has happened since their first meeting in Japan.
