About Sheepdog Response:
Sheepdog Response was founded by Green Beret, Special Forces, Sniper, and former top 5 UFC Middleweight, Tim Kennedy. Tim was also the co-star of Hunting Hitler on the History Channel, and more recently, Hard To Kill, on the Discovery Channel.
People face threats of violence every day, ranging from large-scale terrorism to one-on-one assaults. Most people are unprepared, unequipped, and untrained to respond effectively. This weakness in the flock allows the wolves to attack with great ease and success.
The answer is not more laws. The wolves don’t follow them. We must give the good guys the tools they need to effectively respond to violence. The more Sheepdogs we can train to be truly ready to respond to a mass shooting, terrorist attack, violent mugging or home invasion, the better the chances are that the bad guys will get what they deserve and the good guys will survive. Most people sign up for martial arts or weapons training expecting to learn realistic self-defense, and few get it…
We have developed a curriculum that addresses the skills you need to successfully respond to threats

If you consistently go for underhooks and centerline when engaged in any kind of grappling, you will be able to escape 95% of all the crazy overwhelming shit people can do to you on the ground and from literally any position including being fully mounted. Control the arm, swim the underhook and sweep them off of their mount. While you have the underhooks on your opponent, you can always shoot the legs from even on the ground to sweep them. Underhooks alone are perhaps the most important key to unlocking most grappling situations. But I thoroughly enjoy the dialogue about centerline and how there are different ways of controlling the center line aside from underhooks. Centerline should be your main focus whenever in any close fighting situation. Anything closer than the length of your arm should automatically trigger centerline focus for you. Striking down the centerline even plays a massive role as most striking arts are designed to shoot down a centerline. If you want a prime example of masterful centerline control for striking shooting matches, check out Dominick Cruz. The mother fucker rarely gets hit. I mean literally.

So happy that me and my son were trained in the military I wish I could have had Tim as my instructor. I'm not kicking his ass at no point. I love having an instructor that knows more than me and could likely kick my ass. That's what will make you better. If you don't train every day to get better than yesterday you're in the wrong sport and or career. Even in the military you better be doing everything in your power to be better than yesterday and if you're not then you don't deserve to wear the uniform

Hey - LOVE the way you communicate and share and impart information and knowledge - its such rare talent - maybe even art - but that’s not why I’m writing - I just wanted to say that - anyway - I’m pretty brand new to handguns and I’m still in the process of trying to figure out the best and most correct way for me to hold handle and shoot a handgun - I’m not sure if you do it in this particular video but when you demonstrate something that involves using a gun there’s a very specific way that you go about mime presenting and aiming in which you mime presenting and aiming as I’ve gotten older it’s become apparent to me that I learn differently than most people. I’m not a linear learner.

Yikes! Was ABSOLUTELY not finished with that😳 - OK when you mime presenting and aiming a handgun you do it in a very specific way each and every time. It tends to be one continuous motion in which you start with your hands to either side if your chest with your palms facing either inward or skyward - then somewhat like a double punch you press your hand and arms outward as you rotate your arms and hands inward towards each other until your thumbs interlock. People talk about hand position in the gun buy rarely have I head anyone talk about the entire movement of gripping presenting aiming and firing as one distinct move. The problem with only describing positions is that there is no information about pressure application and timing. I hope any of this makes sense. The way you turn your hand and forearms into each other suggest a pretty specific direction of movement - yikes - can you please tell me what YOU are doing when you present aim and fire a gun. Where you apply pressure and from which specific direction as you settle the energy into the gun?? Ok thanks

So you got two underhooks...what if your opponent just grabs your throat, punches your head, hits on both your ears simultaniously or pushes his thumbs into your eyes? Dont want to overcritizise this but these would be the things i would go for instantly.

The only response with any merit is the eye gouge, theres no room for anything else and you're going down immediately since an impossible position v a trained grappler.
