I remember when this song came out. This was a major hit. All the kids 5 to 20s were rocking out to it. My parents thought we were insane for blasting this day after day but it was just simply amazing because in the 90s, everyone was so obsessed with either boy bands or r&b. To have a song like this come out of nowhere, we just loved it. My sister even had like 5 copies of it on cassette tape in case one accidently got damaged/lost/recorded over.

I saw an interview with Björk, she said they were on tour in the US and stopped at a truck stop. She found a cassette tape called Divas and bought it . This song was on it sang by Betty Hutton. They would listen to the song right before going on stage to get fired up. She decided to record the song sort of as a joke for the people on tour with her but also she liked the song.

This was from Bjork's second solo album, Post. I lived and breathed all Bjork in the 90s. Loved her to bits and was so inspired by her uniqueness, I even copied her hairstyle those days 😂 sang her songs, though not even 100 feet near her talent. This lady is a musical prodigy, a genius and a visionary. 90s was heavy on guitar sound, yet she wasn't intimidated and carried on doing her own style. I love how she used many bells and percussion, and oh those beautiful harp music, then experimented with drums and bass sounds and effects. But best of all, her out of this world vocals, scat-singing, growls and sound effects, She is a brilliant artist!I can only wish, I can create music like her. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥✨️✨️✨️✨️

Remembering seeing this live and recording it. Two days before I saw her live at Spreckles Theatre in San Diego. I was completely in love with her during that time.

Those "weird noises" are something you either love or hate but sorry...every bit of this is so controlled and perfect. She doesn't always scream but she knows how and if she was any different no one would know her name. I wish I had as much talent as her in my pinky toe. She goes right back into the Cabaret thing like it's nothing. And it's meant to be a performance. Some theatrical stuff is weird. Get over it.

bjork is what you call an artist. None of this poppin Molly's smoking weed a shit.. She is unique and beautiful, I laugh at all the hate she gets about her style.. that style made her famous so shame on you all.

I agree, the first time i ever heard a song from her was when i saw "The Professional" as a kid. Her song "Venus As A Boy" was amazing to me, something very raw and unique.

Antoine Gist she's absolutely wonderful. "Pagan Poetry" and "Joga" are two of my favorites from her as well, she has a way of making someone feel every emotion she feels in her songs. A rarity in today's music
