Every song she writes and sings is a work of art, every music video is an experimental adventure into what is possible when you combine imagination and technology, every outfit and hairdo is cutting edge art fashion - for me my top three artists/ performers have always been PRINCE MADONNA AND BJORK - her voice blew me away in Radio City Music Hall - phenomenal and wild and pure as this Planet Earth we live on - she’s the most talented genius experimental artist singer I have ever encountered - ONE IN EIGHT BILLION AND IN A LEAGUE OF HER OWN!!!

One thing I have always loved about Björk is that she has never held back. She has always been free with her art form. Never afraid to be herself, and never cared what anyone thought. She has also always been way before her time. This is one of my favorite music videos by Björk.

I’ve not seen her perform this live (although, I’d love to!). Would it be possible for you to describe the dance? Or is it simply just another one of the many facets of Björk that you have to actually experience in order to truly understand?
@neckroteddy
@neckroteddy 4 жыл бұрын
@@crazymonkey1545 yes and no, for example I vaguely remember reading once that she doesn't "play"/"perform" (can't remember which one) the songs, because she is not acting, she is living the songs. And Biophilia has very artistic songs with "strange" or "unusual" topics, just like Mutual Core is "a metaphor for human relationships, compared to the structure of the Earth and Plate tectonics". So when she does this live, it feels (at least to me) like she is dancing kind of electronic music mixed with latino music. But you can see a good example of what I mean by searching the song on the Vulnicura Live tour, there are assembled videos of the tour on KZfaq. On the Björk Digital Mexico exhibition she did a DJ Set and used mexican music like "salsa", and she was dancing like she does with Mutual Core. It was amazing.
@crazymonkey1545
@crazymonkey1545 4 жыл бұрын
Ian S, S, Thank you! I really appreciate your well thought out and detailed answer. I will definitely plan on watching a few of her live performances now to see what you’ve described; however, I’m guessing they pale in comparison to actually being there live *in person* to experience it (which would be my ultimate dream - so here’s hoping that one day my dream will becomes a reality). 🤗

God bless you Bjork and Andrew Thomas Huang for this beautiful masterpiece. This used to be my favorite before "the gate" was released and you both have the power to express emotions in the most beautiful way. the amazing hardcore beat followed by her amazing voice, and the eruption is so carefully done, so mesmerizing and beautiful. the 3d here is a masterpiece. This is talent. this is the reason why it's worth living. amazing artists sharing their ideas and creating something unusual and priceless. art is love. thank you for sharing your beautiful art with the world

I saw this OFFICIAL video over 7 years ago. Now it shows uploaded on Sep 26 2019, only 2 years 2 months ago. Why are so many YT videos being reuploaded, losing their view count, and many are no longer available in HD? What Nefarious scheme is going on?

I love this song and her design in here. I knew she was around first but she would fit PERFECTLY in Encanto as one of the Madrigals, with a different aspect of Mother Nature than the aunt that controls the weather.

Tipsy Bass interesting, & highly judgmental comment. I was born in 1991 & amongst my friends & myself, we listened to a lot of Björk, Radiohead, MF DOOM, Aphex Twin...lots of strange music. Some of us grew up to be doofuses, while some grew up to be successful & intelligent. The date of your birth doesn’t determine the quality of your person. TL,DR: Okay, boomer 🙃

"In the realm where nature's power resides, By forces unseen and tides that guide, I cast a spell on Björk, fair and true, A tribute to Mother Nature's hue. Björk, an embodiment of Earth's grace, A singer's voice, a sacred space, Representing Nature's strength so bold, In your belief, your story's told. I bind this spell with roots of trees, Grounding your spirit, calming the seas, May your voice echo with winds that roam, As you channel the Earth's ancient tome. Let the rivers of creativity flow, As Nature's essence in your heart grows, With every note, with every sound, Let Earth's harmony be unbound. May the forces of nature guard your soul, A protector's embrace, making you whole, For in your voice, in your words so free, Lies the song of Earth's symphony. Björk, as Mother Nature's kin, May your melodies bloom from within, With respect and reverence, we deploy, This spell of honor, light, and joy. May your journey be guided by Earth's hand, As you sing for the forests, the sea, the land, For without nature's embrace, so true, Man and woman are nothing, no value. By the elements' might, this spell is spun, In Nature's name, our unity won, As it is spoken, so shall it be, A connection to Earth, eternally."

Luv the EBM-ish harsh beats while a surprising eruption obliterates its somewhat antipode: seemly expected stagnation. Then, no Frau Björk, I didn't know, and better than that, show me (us) more of it. Seems Cocoon's tentacles couldn't grasp it firmly enough. High time to rip the world apart now, and perhaps one day he (and the rest of us) will get it. Outstanding song by the way.

Has anyone else noticed some similar feelings in both her work and the work of David Lynch? Both are visceral, bordering on squeamish 😊, confrontative, sometimes disturbing, definitely unapologetic. Both VERY unique, authentic, VERY personally expressive! Both have styles that are provocative and on occasion leave one wondering, but both are always, ALWAYS engaging, moving and interesting! They even have similar natal charts...😮
