Thank you for admiring my artwork. I have always had synesthesia but didn't know what it was called or that not everyone has this superpower.

@@brandympatterson that’s cool! It’s great you look at it as a super power as I’m sure it is. Is it mostly with sights/sounds then, or do other senses merge too for you?

@@stephenbeyer It is predominantly sound color synesthesia for me. 🙂

@@brandympattersonI have it too! I didn’t know for years that it was a thing. It just was. Then a boyfriend phoned me and told me to turn on my tv. He was very excited. There was a programme all about it. So, suddenly it was named. But actually I was quite happy for it not to be labelled and put in a box. It’s simply who or how I am. For me it’s letters - each with their own colour - and numbers and days of the week and months. Sequences of things I suppose. The tv programme said that that was the most common form. I treasure it - it literally colours my whole life…and I’m pretty sure it makes me appreciate subtle colour variations - I’m always picking up bits and pieces because of their colour, I notice variations of colours in my garden, on the street, anywhere…it’s a journey that delights and never stops. I’m older now, and sadly my colours have faded a little, as I have begun to fade. They’re not quite so brilliant, but still there…
