After a successful week prior getting my bear, I bring a friend of mine out for his first ever bear hunt in an attempt to get him a bear as well.

I've been hunting the Berkshire mountains ever since I started hunting with my oldest brother and stepdad it is beautiful country in many areas, i hunt the southern end of the Berkshires Sheffield egermont area there used to be a lot more deer in that area years ago when I was a little kid in the late 80s early 90s, numbers really dropped once the 2000s hit, crazy thing is this is a video of bear hunting in the Berkshires and never used to see many bears at all in that area anyway but this deer season me and my family group I hunt with have seen more bears then deer which is insane never thought i would say that!!

That's awesome. I only started hunting out this way 4-5 years ago, and I see more deer than bears for sure. Though only one of those times was a buck larger than a yearling. In fact, my first ever day hunting out there, I nearly got run over by a spike 20 minutes into the hunt 😂.

I’m over in Lanesborough this is my first year hunting and was a blast so far. Will be trying muzzle loader in a couple days can’t wait.
