I went for a walk this morning in Gatlinburg and noticed this Bear crossing the street & then attempted to cross the river after heavy rain! 🐻👀

I shortened it to under 1 min, but it contemplated crossing for a while. It was almost as though it was thinking "I don't remember the water level this high". It was not something you see everyday!

So cute, I lived in Tennessee for 1 year and I never encountered one. I lived in Sevierville up in a mountain and never saw one. Not even a deer 😞

Black Bears are so cool ! Very powerful, great tree climbers and they can run 35 mph. They can open car doors too. If you ever meet up with one and have no place to get to for safty, try to stand you ground & appear as big as possible & YELL LOUDLY = If you just 'RUN' you look more like prey and they can run very fast. My Rottweiler & I were walking in the Pine Barrens when a Black Bear showed up, my dog barked & barked & the Bear ran away. We were lucky. I carried my stun gun after that. Sad to see animals lands are being taken away at such a rate.
