It works as a little 100th episode celebratory op, as well as the theme of progression and inadequacy going on with asta and yuno's rivalry at the time (which is then resolved within the 100th ep with asta being able to fight side by side with yuno). It doesn't fit the elf reincarnation event beginning, but it's still not a bad opening, not at all. These are just my thoughts
