i got the old style javalot. bloody amazing piece of equipment. used it for solo hunting and it worked great. saves having someone holding spotlight

That cat was huge. I spoke to one of our conservation officers here (Canada). They were doing a raccoon trapping program and testing for rabies. It’s a potential big problem and they are watching to see if the rabies are starting In The raccoons. I asked if they’d seen any evidence, his answer was they couldn’t find out because all they were catching was feral cats. Yep, feral cats starting to be a bigger problem here. We don’t see that many in the bush, except when hunting near the cities. We’ve got a high and growing population of coyotes outside the cities so they must be feeding on the feral cats. Ps. I said to the conservation officer “ how many cats you dispatching?” ..none,, the animal rights folks made a fuss so now they turn them loose. Oh well coyote bait ! And we can shoot the coyotes.
