Feast or Famine is literally the coolest song I've ever seen from them, because there's so much happening but every piece of it works together so well in the context of the song, like - Lex and Frank on the steps in the background during the first chorus singing along and Lex looks horrified but Frank is just LIVIN IT UP - Jeff's "CHAOS REIGNS" in the middle of everyone else running around - The choreo for the choruses. I cannot get over how sick it is - The shot during the first chorus where it kind of focuses on Linda and Gary coming forward out of the line.........superb - The fact that, if you watch Tom and Becky, you can see Tom repeatedly protecting her by pushing other people away - the entire circling section?? the acting? the lyrics? the lighting? are you serious???? anyway yes 100% agree excellent video

The Big Wiggly effect is so classic, but sooo effective! I kinda wish there were more wide shots to get the full scope of the choreography. And I definitely wish the Door Gag would come back!

My theory is the lighting change during Take Me Back when it turns blue correlates to Tom's love for Becky because the other time he was lit blue was in What Tim Wants where he was singing about Tim and Jane. So I think that's when Becky was cemented into his family.

OK ABOUT THE LIGHTING CAUSE IVE BEEN NERDING OUT ABOUT THIS!!! I think the lighting colors have meaning. Green is obviously the influence of Wiggly. The blue seems to represent the past, breaking away from it, contemplating it, or falling into it- like What Tim Wants and Adore Me. Red is for the future, like in CaliforMIA. The purplish-red/ green dual lighting like Wiggle and Wiley's scenes represents evil influence/ the black and white- notice how Macnamara has the same split, only in the Monsters and Men reprise. The purple in Take Me Back and If I Fail You is the present: Tom and Becky are ignoring everything but the there and then, and the lighting turns to blue as they talk about high school. In If I Fail You, Tom contemplates both his past and future actions, and what he needs to do right then. I apologize for the obnoxious paragraph, but LIGHTS

Black Friday is definitely the best starkid show visually, the camera work is much better than the other ones, it has one of my favorite choreography out of all starkid shows, and I never realized this but the lighting is really great.

None of my friends appreciate feast or famine the way I do, its another reason i stand by the ideal that turquoise/cyan and pink/purple are one of the best color combos for something to give chills.

i think starkid shows are proof that you can have an amazing show with a small venue offering a more raw and vulnerable performance because of proximity and also show how to properly just use things creatively instead of spending a shit ton of money on something so it's obvious instead the audience also uses imagination and i love ittt

I love how simple all of the lighting during Lex’s songs are. I think it speaks more to her character. It’s a pretty interesting idea to play with lighting when it comes to a characters personality, and starkid nailed that with this one
