We have known for years that black henna is a dangerous chemical based henna body art product. Now by using jagua fruit juice you can safely create a true staining natural black henna design by adding the juice to your henna paste recipe instead of using water/lemon juice or other liquids.
With these easy steps you can also mix your own jagua paste (aka hengua).
What you’ll need to make Jagua Paste:
-BAQ henna powder (I recommend our Supreme Body Art Blend)
-Jagua Juice
-Sugar (I use fructose)
-Lavender essential oil
Tools:
-stainless steel or glass bowl
-measuring spoons
-mixing spoon or spatula
-hand blender or KitchenAid mixer (optional)
Do note that just because something is natural doesn't mean you can't be allergic to it. Whenever we're using jagua, we always ask clients if they have allergies to berries or latex. Most people who have these types of allergies will also be allergic to jagua. Please stay informed and always test new products on yourself with a small inner arm patch test before use.
