You did it buddy, you did all of it all along. Jesus had nothing to do with it nor could do anything about it. You got yourself out of the street, you mended your addiction, you found your wife and you kept her with your kindness and effort. I want you to give yourself credit. I've been through the same and I know exactly how it feels. I don't want you to fool yourself with falsehood. Take credit for your own success just as much as you judged yourself to be able to succeed. 🤘🏻

thank you, man!! My tracks are actually just reworks of Black Hill's original songs. And for me, his guitar is better than my piano on that one :-) Anyway, I enjoyed a lot doing this re-writing process.
@XBLJunior
@XBLJunior 8 жыл бұрын
+heklAa I honesty thought they were supposed to be complimentary of the originals. but ive been listening to guitar my whole life, and while the effects on his guitar create a dreamy atmosphere, your piano creates a much more captivating experience. i can more easily ground your covers in reality. like in the first song, I feel like I'm in the study of an ancient castle, alone, and surrounded by dim candlesticks that are nearly burned out while I roam the room. or in mu, I imagine taking a taxi to my favorite museum, in a large city, during a steady rainfall. The emotion is more vivid. so dont undersell yourself. :-)

I've listened to this so many times over the years, but I've never really thought to comment - but right now I'm awake in the nights and sleeping in the day, and this is really hitting the spot. Being awake when the world around you is asleep can leave you feeling weirdly lonely, and that's not just bad as it can be very calming; and this music is kind of embodying that solemn contentment. But generally speaking, the melodies in this album are stunning. Every time I listen to it I'm impressed by the progression. I swear whoever made this must have been in a transcendent state the whole damn time

Back in october of 22, me and my family went to look at 20 acres of raw land out about 4 miles from town. Place was an untouched garden. A good amount of trees for Cedar Timber, a stream and a small ravine, fantastic views of the bay, beautiful. 1/4 of it could be used for an entire orchard. I envisioned building my life there, all i needed was $10k more, coulda made the down payment. Whole thing sold to a developer in march. Whole family cried. I listened to this track back when we first saw the property. Makes me think of the place i coulda had.

I like to listen to music in other languages for this reason, as I don't have to focus on the words but rather the sound of the human voice (and the language. Different languages have completely different sounds). To say that lyrics pollute music would be wrong... However, there are often times when lyrics are essential to a piece of music. That's when you really focus on the song, the meaning that the artist is attempting to communicate. "The Sounds of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel would be an example of such a song, whereas music with the intentions of inspiring certain emotions and feelings tend to focus less on the lyrics and more on the music. Such music can have lyrics, but is often more vague so as to allow such freedom you enjoy. Lyrics-less music can often perform the same, if not more so. Music like this liberates your mind instead of focusing on a very specific topic. While listening to this, one could be thinking about the essence of theological subjects, while another could be dreaming about their future career. Or dinosaurs. The word music literally derives from the Greek word Μοῦσαι or Muse, which means, "To put in mind" or to "Inspire". That is what all music should be created to accomplish. There are just varying ways to go about it.

@@Sanjeet_1810 I don't really think of it as connecting with nature, really. It's just something I like doing in a place I like, no different from how some people go to parties or clubs.

This song's vibe, & pic take me back to when i was kid. Simpler time + the world was shrouded in mystery within itself i was in awe & curious to discover the orgings of the building blocks that are world and universe are made of & how sound, time, space, energy, ect, are cool to exist. 🌆🌇🌆Cool sound track Worldhaspostrock⚠️

Since discovering this album, I have listened to it many times. It is my go to album for chilling out during 5o'clock traffic, writing essays, writing anything really, drawing, and/or doing art. The compositional quality is profoundly beautiful and it is very easy to be inspired by this masterpiece. Thank you so much for sharing the gift of your music with us all. I look forward to more to come. God bless.

Fantastic! THIS is what I've been yearning for. So tired of all these bands that say "let's write 10 beautiful songs and ruin each one by building up to a cringe-worthy cacophony of noise at the end of each one." This is a stunning album!

I absolutely love this on its own. I also found out today while writing that it plays beautifully with Cryo Chamber's Forgotten Forests and Endless Mountains, if you start and play them at the same time. I had Rivers & Shores a little quieter than Forgotten Forests so the gentle melodies blended under the calls of the birds.
