In observance of Black History Month, we are spotlighting prolific Black trailblazers who strived for excellence in the arts through February. All the artists featured are Washington, D.C. natives that worked in theater.
For our second video in this three-part series, we have STC Marketing and Communications Coordinator Jordan Brown reading a biography of actress and activist, Henrietta Vinton Davis.
Vinton Davis served as vice president at the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA), an organization that sought Black economic and political advancement.
