Nice shooting! I picked up a Black Hunter last summer myself. It's as good a shooter as my Toelke Whip. I have mostly budget-friendly bows (The Toelke is my only custom), and they are all good shooters. A person really doesn't need to spend a lot to get a good bow. Enjoyed the vid, thanks for sharing!

I have purchased quite a few of these bows for family and friends up to this point every one has really enjoyed them. I personally love them, I think they are fantastic shooting bows and have a few in my own collection. Nice shooting. God bless

Great shooting! You can't beat it for $100 ... I love China made bows because they are very good and very affordable! A lot of the So-called American made bows are actually made in China. One good thing is that you can buy longbow limbs for the BH. I just recently got the BH recurve and I will probably get a set of longbow limbs this summer for it myself. Anyway, great video and awesome shooting!

Mine is arriving today. I shot longbow when I was a kid. Switched to a compound a LONG time ago. Never quite got the hang of it. My neighbor has been trying to get me to switch back to longbow or recurve for years. After seeing some of the pricing of some of these top name brands, I was completely turned off. Found some vids of the Black Hunter, and decided to take the plunge. For $102 delivered, its worth a shot. Very excited to start shooting this. you make it look so easy LOL great vid.

They're great for starting out but they have their issues as well Ive had 2 sets of limbs break on the black hunters delamination on both , my Morison limbs are smoother faster and just more enjoyable to shoot but for the price I'll always have a beater black hunter to toss in the truck on camping trips ect

This is how I felt ages ago aswell realizing chinese brands often are as good or even better sometimes than the same bows I spend thousands and thousands on during my 40 years.... Im both mad at myself and my part of the world who can get away with charging and scamming us SO hard for "high end" bows when they are the EXACT same, jsut different logo's on them. Looking forward... Im just happy I can get away with 1/10 of the expenses now than compared to before or what others are spending in order to get teh same experiences. (Its teh same thing about arrows btw, western vs chinese... Refuse to buy western brands since, they cost so much to replace or even repair.) Great shooting and great review.

With your skills you can probably shot tight grouping with any decent bow. I mean the bow is literally few strips of wood and 2 of fiberglass, if you have the jigs made for it, it can be pretty cheap to manufacture it in large numbers. I mean in terms of materials cost. The bow probably cost 10 dolars, if you add the labour or labor how you want to spell it. Than this bow cost is about 20 dolars, maybe less. So let's say the chinese sell it with 35-40 if you buy big lots and the intermediate sells it with 100 dolars. The chinese can make you cheap quality, quality or profesional. Everything is made in china these days. Most of the expencive brands are expencive because they are brands, not necesarily because they use some high tech. And you would be surprised to know the 1500$ bow to be made in the same shop as the 100 one. They can shoot the same, yes, but in time you will see the difference, if the materials hold the same if it can handle the same abuse and things like this. Honestly to pay 1500$ for a bow seems like a big rip off for me. You can buy a second hand car or a motorcycle with those money. A very good bicycle. You want to tell me that a piece of stick has more tech in it than those? With 1500$ you can literally buy the tools to start making bows yourself. To me 100$ for a modern laminated bow, seems a reasonable price not cheap. I live in romania, and i remember my cousin about 10 years ago was selling clothes from china here. And there was a hype then with scooters the 50cc ones. The cost of one of those scooters would vary between 1000$ and 3000$. He told me he could buy them from the chinese with 150-200$ a piece if he buys big lots. The clothes he would buy he paid like 1$ for a t-shirt and sell it here with 5$, and he wouldn't sell it piece by piece, only in box 100 pieces at once. The shop owners would then seell that t-shirt with 10-15$. Everything you buy nowdays has an commercial excess of 10-15 times the price that product has when leaves the factory. And most of the things are made in china. For example bosh would say made in germany, but the parts were made in china and only asambled in germany. People say chinese make bad stuff and that they have a bad reputation. No, the chinese make bad stuff because that is what the merchants demand to make huge profits, is actually the merchants in your own country that F you not the chinese. They make whatever you want them to make. Most of the merchants now days don't even handle or touch the products anymore. You order it from them and they order it from china for you and add a huge profit to that.

I love my black hunter longbows. I had a custom bearpaw mohawk chief longbow, for some reason for me the Black hunter fit me better. I sold my Bearpaw bow because I could not justify the dust collection on the Mohawk. I shoot Das bows and a win@win black elk bow but the black hunter is more fun than those bows.

I know I probably will never read the answer but maybe someone else will .I notice you come to anchor and on release, you move your bow to the left , is this intentional or by habit , just curious, I have a B H recurve and plan on a B H longbow , you know just to have it lol great shooting!!

yes I know what you are talking about . I never realized it in till I started doing KZfaq stuff but if you look closer you will see I let the string go as the bow is moving . all most like horseshoe I don't aim its impossible to when thew bow isa moving

That was some good shooting. Especially out of box without any real practice. What is the stated draw weight on that bow? It looks like you can handle it pretty well. I know a guy who thought he was Big Dick Bigger and he bought himself a 70# bow. He shot it for a little while and messed up his shoulder. He learned his lesson and shoots bows in the 30# to 50# range. He is a pretty good shot, about as good as you. Although you walk kind of funny going back and forth to get your arrows. It kind of looks like the Charlie Chaplin shuffle. Keep it up. Practice, practice, practice.
