That's what I love about the Black Legion All 4 chaos gods are represented either heavily 1 way if u want or equal of all 4 the lore supports anyway u choose to play them and the possibilities are limitless

Could also be used with a Termi Sorcerer and the Slaanesh mark, now you can slap a 5+++ on them as well. Just to make sure your Termi brick is well and truly stuck in your enemy's craw.

For whatever's it's worth, the Army I currently want - which will be waiting until at least the later Autumn - is AL centered on Master of Diversion (AL Warlord Trait) -ing Khorne onto whatever location on the table is sorest in need of devastation.

Eh iron warriors went from being the best legion to one of the worst. EC, WB and AL are the better legions probably in that order

Iron Warriors are crazy durable, mostly thanks to their strats. -1 dmg on big blocks of termis or chosen make them a big headache to deal with, and -1 to wound your daemon engines / machine spirit vehicles when you really need them to survive can be crucial. I ran them last week v. orks and seeing tankbustas wounding a land raider on 6s was too funny not to do. They also have great shooting with the big daemon engines - I ran double forgefiend with the ectoplasm cannons, and their strat to double the number of models in an enemy unit for the purposes of Blast for 1 cp virtually guarantees that youll be getting max shots on any elite infantry, and ignoring cover is the cherry on top in the age of AoC. They were a lot of fun to play!

It's a better than heroic intervention because the unit doesn't move. If you strike someone outside of 3, they don't attack back in the unlikely even they survive.

Correct me if I’m wrong here but that’s how I’m reading it in the new codex lol I hope I am, I’d use the same powers in my next battle with my own master of possession 😂

@@OmegaIdiot 5+ fnp saves 4 of those mathematically! Meaning only 2 dead termies. You can pact of flesh after to heal one to full and resurrect one because theyre core!

@@JH-tt6hm When you give them a mark, they get the corresponding spell in addition to the other 2 + Smite. This goes for the MOP or regular Sorc.

erm, no it makes a unit eligible to fight. so you can pile in if you want... but if you're 3" away and don't pile in, then you won't be within an inch to actually attack. for a model to make a melee attack it needs to be within engagement range (1 inch) or within half an inch of another friendly model in the same unit who is within half an inch

My NL are aggravating (especially considering my Blood Angels get their Legion tactic with pretty much no effort) but watching my opponent lose models in the morale phase makes up for it. People at my FLGS are starting to hate me asking "What's your LD? Well now its x. Roll for morale please."

May I ask why? Sure BL is easier to plug and play but NL have a lot of great builds if you really play into their legion trait(leadership shenanigans). Personally, I find fun fluffy playstyles are much more enjoyable than easy meta picks. I've tried a few games as Drukhari with a similar playstyle and had a blast! Of course you'll eventually run into armies that ignore what yours is good at but that's the case for almost every faction in the game. If you want some ideas, Bricky(big NL fan) just put out a video on his second channel going over the strengths and build potential of the NL; you should check it out!

Cut the hellbrute, they're terrible, sadly. Your instinct with the terminators is correct, they're the backbone of your army. Consider dropping the size of the Accursed Cultist unit, they're mostly gonna be for sitting on objectives, and for 75 points the minimum unit size is pretty tough to remove.

@@TheGrumbliestPuppy okay thank you i probably wont ditch the helbrute immediately, since i wanna use my miniatures i got in the combat patrol, but i could switch out the accursed ones since i dont have them yet and maybe get another legionary squad :D

The cultists, legionnaires, and oblits are liabilities. Oblits are okay but suboptimal as is the helbrute. Cut as much chaff as possible- make use of the strat to turn off obsec (second venomcrawler probably a waste too though)

I like this list! Can I get some feedback? I’m not looking for anything too cutthroat/meta. What I have been running is Abaddon, sorcerer in terminator and 6 terms as a spear tip 2x6 legionaries (each with baleful tomb, which I like for a couple of reasons) and 15 cultists, 3 bikers with mark/icon Tzeentch all for objectives and actions Master of Possession and 3 obliterators Terrax termite with 6x rubrics and 6x bezerkers I have had fun and success with this list (bare in mind I’m still a relative beginner playing other relative beginners) but open to some suggestions if you anything thinks there’s something truly egregious I’m taking/not taking?? In terms of table top impact the obliterators and the MoP have been least productive…but I think I’m just using them poorly?

Thats not how it works. You dont spend 2 points for them to interrupt in addition. They count as charging so they fight first. It can function like a second interrupt or if your opponent didn’t charge anything but you are locked in combat then you fight first. Its true that a MoS makes it somewhat redundant but its good if you took another mark

@@thegorefatherdonkhorneleon5159 It does. You don't pick who to fight first in your opponents fight phase, they do. The Terminators will likely already have been attacked by that point because your opponent still chooses where to fight first amongst fight first units. When I say you'd have to spend another 2CP to actually interrupt, I mean to actually get a fight first in a combat elsewhere. It's only useful if your terminators have been charged by more than 1 thing, in which case they will have to tank the first attacking units and then interrupt against other units in engagement range that haven't fought yet, OR your opponent has charged terminators and Abaddon (for example, or another Slaanesh mark unit) and can't afford to hit the terminators over the other unit, so that would leave the terminators free to interrupt.

Sadly the crimson slaughter arent covered as a legion Dimitri- all renegade legions just pick another legions rules which best match their style. We missed out on custom traits cuz GW are scum

Do you deepstrike Haarken and the Raptors? As I understand it, you can't use his super reroll buff till turn 3 if you do, because it's Command Phase, and he isn't on the board till turn 2's movement phase. Is it still valuable?

@@MainerZ Haarken can still give reroll 1s without using Lord of Raptors. I did deepstrike them and failed the charge. It was a squad of 10 though, and since they now have Armour of Contempt and 2 wounds, 6 of them managed to survive through to my next charge phase, where they managed to weaken Shadowsun, allowing Haarken to take the kill. So it worked out pretty well!

People are aware of it even with out diabolic strength..but with any of the MW on 6 builds they are not reliable…a build i have come up with (not DO) can do a theoretical max of just over 40 MWs in a turn with an extra relic and a 2CP strat.

You can if you take Abaddon in a supreme command detachment (CP refunded).

In my case, it's that I've been playing since the early 1990s and can't be bothered to change.

No good shooters? Obliterators? Havocs with Chaincannons or Heavy Bolters? Terminators with just about any loadout... mine have 2 heavy flamers, combi meltas and combi flamers and delete most things they shoot. There is plenty or good shooting, maybe not as much as the good combat but my BL have no issues shooting down most armies before taking them on in melee. Depends on your unit choices and play style.

@@Noveltyuk obliterator isnt good shooter anymore. D3 shooting is just luck for 270 point.

Oblit are hot garbage, havics with chain are too expensive and shoot at 24', bolter are useless in AoC and bolter will never kill heavy targets. We dont have good shooting option, and the full reroll trait the WB have is better than the +1 hit in many cases. BL has some nice relics (6" of obsec) tho

Agree the dedicated shooting options aren't great. Decimators are still okay and leviathans and contemptors are good but not really viable to run in multiples given the cp costs. I can see a case being made for a single black legion leviathan with ranged loadout as the legion trait limits its degradation and improves its shooting into combat. Still much more of a combat army on the whole.

@@szalailaszlovid they have 3 shooting profiles... they have an option for most targets and can still shoot in combat, what's not to like.
