This show looks like it would be an amazing drama, similar to luke cage, if only the super hero wasn't so over the top, especially costume wise.

This show kinda mirrors the comic book where Jeff Pierce actually has a run in with the 100, b4 he becomes BL.to keep the gangsters from recognizing him, his BL persona is streetsmart, menacing, and fearless, and his costume is meant to enhance that fierce image, as opposed to his laid back Jeff Pierce image.i had the 1st issue of BL back in 1977 by the way.BL is groundbreaking in the sense he is the first black superhero DC comics has ever published.i hope this helps

I get that his suit glows according to his power level(yellow to blue) but can't he turn it off in stakeouts? We have seen him wearing it on "Off mode" when he talks to Gambi.

This show is more a drama mixed with superpowers, family situations, and real world events( Jeff Pierce getting stopped by police because he's s black).the writers will probably change sum things as time goes, but other elements( like BL' s costume), will remain intact.

My god who likes this ? I tried to watch a whole season , and you need a 40ft trailer to haul all this cheese! I have great love for black superheroes , but this one is the worst time and money spent on a production. It's so over the top it either fell over or is a mislabeled comedy.
