LIGHTNING SHALL AWAKEN!!!!!! Can anyone with a more in depth comic inspection of the Black Lightning mythos answer this for me? Did Thunder always do that breathing thing before using her powers??? And am I the only one who thinks that his ex wife is gonna die by the Season's end??

Black Lightning isn't really that big a character in the comics. He's only had a few mini-series and/or cancelled comics. I know his daughters were members of the Outsiders and the JSA, and Grace (Anissa's new girlfriend) is an Amazon and also a member of the Outsiders.

Isaiah M. Owens She didn't but her power in the comics is more clearly defined as altering her density. They probably just added that to signal the audience she's about to use her powers since they aren't the flashiest.

Marvin G. Lol. I'm not. I'm a fun of TV shows OK. I watch a lot of shows from everywhere. DC Haa great shows but this isn't one of them. But I'm watching it anyway. Hoping it gets better. The plot isn't great or bad. But the characters are bad. And a bad character development too. I don't wanna sound unappreciative so I won't talk about it to much ok. But that's just what I think and you don't have to care. We all have different opinions but I'll suggest you watch more of marvel stuffs because they are way better.

Loved Luke Cage, hope to catch Black Lightning when its out where i live. Love my superhero shows all-round (Daredevil, Arrow, Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow, Agents Of Shield etc's) but i'm so glad with today's love of the superhero genre. Black superheroes are receiving their own shows and movies. In regards to Netflix's; Luke Cage, CW's Black Lightning and MCU's Black Panther.

Not at all, film critics are very respected in the industry, and RT numbers for movies seem to matter most nowadays for gen audiences moreso than ever. Hence why Lightning is trying to twist that in the promos. Coogler's Black Panther definitely deserved it's critical praise on RT. It's an amazing film. It wouldn't have done one BILLION in 4 weeks otherwise. Gen audiences loved it. Most film critics are respected sources.
