I like Super Soldier Rebirth and Sacred Soldier. It’s an interruption that’s searchable, plus it allows you to make use of Envoy of the Beginning going first and it can recover it on the following turn.

My only thing is you’d have to bank on using Dark Blade to get BLS-LS effect to pop off. Bc it only works if summoned using a normal monster. I’ll have to add Kaijus to my deck though that’s a good choice

I also recommend to add an additional Lighr Attribute Normal Monster to the Deck, so you can Ritual Summon Legendary Swordmaster using Evening Twilight Knight.

They're anime cards they're not meant to be meta. They're meant for fun duels with your friends without worrying about the competitive scene

So, is this a "going first", or "going second" deck? Also, no handtraps or Spell/Trap removal?

This is a going second deck, you use the kaiju cards as your "hand traps". Not very many decks play backrow removal.

I’m a casual that cares more about playing with cards I like rather than winning but everyone is so sweaty on ranked, I don’t get to do anything at all! Can someone recommend any advice. My favorite archetypes are Heroes, Ghostrick, Perfomapal, and Magicians. (I like them all based on art style I’m open to other suggestions with similar vibes)

Late reply but i have the same outlook as you, and I started playing Hero in ranked with some good success. Takes some time to get used to how to play it, but it can take down even meta decks! Good luck 😁
