Frankie if only more people acted like you… I’m glad to see you using this platform to actually spread light (like your name). Unfortunately lots of people don’t see life like you do and decide to leave hateful comments here instead. I would happily welcome you to my home. Also anyone doubting what’s been said in this video… the jews are very diverse. You’ll find jews from all different countries. The jewish people in the video are mainly from Europe and such. In brooklyn you also have big middle eastern jewish communities too. All this is a product of many generations spreading to different countries. But all come from the same place if you go back far enough. Much love to anyone reading this 🤍

Me again, bro. May not have been the most "exciting" episode, but imo your BEST vid yet. This is exactly what attracted me to Orthodox Judaism, the unspoken energy and warmth of the environment, with geschmack food, music, learning, and chutzpah. So much of Judaism cannot be conveyed through words, and your video speaks wonders on how inspiring it is. Keep learning with Rav Katz, truly amazing individual. Don't be surprised if more Rabim start reaching out. 😉😉

Thank you for opening your home, Rabbi Y. Katz, to Mr. Light. I am probably more toward the age of the more mature Rabbi who spoke. I was born and raised in NYC. I was blessed with parents who educated us about so many different people, places and things. I also was blessed with International travel at a young age but by your sharing I learned so much more and was enlightened by this video. @@geerenmo I really, really, hope your joking. In fact, I'm only replying to save you and others from further embarrassment. Just hear me out, and don't be like Kanye. Speaking as a direct descendant of Aharon, Moses's brother, I think I can confidently say that the lineage of Moses is completely obscure and unknown. Till this day, there is not one soul on this earth who can make such a claim. Not even us! The Jewish people were a strictly homogenous tribe for many millennia since the times of Moses, so the odds are likely that you'd first have to verify if you're of the seed of Levi or not before even letting that idea cross your mind. Please, i ask- Can you all just STOP trying to culturally appropriate our people and pretend like you know everything about us or who we are! I don't mean to be obnoxious... It's just a plain and simple request. I advise you guys to focus on your own lineages and history, who knows what gems you can find! It's the past that builds the present and I think that you'll find much meaning within your own clan/bloodline. Shalom bro:)

Couldn't sleep, came across this video and I'm in shock. As a Hispanic Native New Yorker, I have never had the opportunity to have a friendly exchange with someone from the Jewish community. We fear what we don't understand. I was shocked to see this wonderful interaction. And even if I never get to sit down and talk with someone of the Jewish community I hope that interactions like this continue to happen. At the end of the day we are all just people. And we need more people to come together and get to know one another.

Thanks to the Rabbi, he taught us, to be optimistic in this world 🌍, and that God created every level of existence those who are the holiest of the holy, and those who are the lowest of the low are the "GODLESS" (atheists), and he also taught us, the nature of this world 🌎 are pain, death, suffering, limits and evil, and the reason why humans are introduced into this world is to fix all these problems, and become the solution of all these problems on this earth. Thanks 🙏 Rabbi, I really appreciate that.

Jews are wise and chill people. Most people never knew how they lived and what they did, because of the seclusion and the lack of public insight into these communities. Being able to see videos like these and many others I've seen, made me realize that again they are just people living their lives trying to be happy and healthy while trying to do good. It doesn't get warmer and more human than the community in this vid. In my opinion, they are the chillest out of the 3 abrahamic ones.

@@cfgpropertiesllc7292 Thank you for the reply, I don't know of any historically significant Sephardic community in North Carolina, but before the Civil War, the country's Sephardi community was largely based out of South Carolina, specifically Charleston, some of the members of which (about 25%) owned slaves. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you had a grandparent who was enslaved, it's possible their biological father a was Sephardi slave owner. If that isn't a possibility, many of the free descendants of the children of Sephardi slaveowners and enslaved people became Jewish themselves and founded their own community, where they mostly married among each other. If you're too young to have a great grandparent who owned slaves, I'd imagine this is the most likely scenario. Let me know if you have any questions!

@@emanuelrosen1000 not to sure, but my father said his grandfather was a wealthy traveler. My great grandfather was married to a North African woman…so I’m guessing she was the link. I’m 40 years old so I’m not to sure how far back it was. Thanks for the info.

If you have a north African great grandmother and the DNA of a Sephardi great grandparent than it seems extremely likely she was Jewish...which also means your grandparent who was her child would be considered Jewish by Jewish law, since by Jewish law, Judaism passes from mother to child. Which also means that you'd be eligible for Israeli citizenship! Mazel Tov.

@@bjack6174 Dude are you a Talmudic scholar? Probably not, considering you foolishly probe through wholesome comments on KZfaq videos just to start conflict. As human beings we have to learn to grow up and respect each other for our beliefs. There are men who sit down in the Beit Midrashim and devote their entire LIVES to these texts, and even *they* usually never complete the Talmud with all it has to offer- As it's VERY diverse and multi-faceted. Hating on Judeans for no good reason is the very epitome of the Bible verse you mentioned. Esau, I hope my people and yours can soon make peace. :)

Jews actually discourage people who consider converting to Judaism. Why? Because we believe that God also loves non Jews and that if those who are not Jewish keep the Noachide laws (the basic laws given to Noah) then they too earn Heaven. The Jews must keep more laws (given to Moses), so greater chance to fail and therefore we don't encourage conversion.

I think it's best to read it alongside a rabbi or watching videos on it. There's the whole oral tradition he doesn't know. I'm converting to Judaism, and I've been told it's tradition to study with a rabbi when converting to make sure I get context to stories in Tanach. It's actually a requirement that I not study with others or much on my own without a rabbi until I finish converting. This is how Judaism stayed the same for the most part for 4000 years. Otherwise, it wouldn't remain intact and would collapse or split into 40k denominations with radically different beliefs, like Christianity

Just refer people to the Lemba Jews of Zimbabwe. Their bloodline contains the highest Abrahamic genecount of ANY jewish tribe and predates many to that extend. Not taking away to all the other Jewish descendents because they all continue the bloodline. But this is a clear indication of the origin and ethnic makeup of Jews in the time of Moses, and should enforce respect of the jews that degrade or exclude black jewish members of our community. Ethiopia - Israel relations is another great example of irrational ostracision within our community. Dont be fooled, those who deny these practices in our community are part of the problem.

Also, the first large population of Jewish people wasn't until 650 BCE 2000 years after the completion of the great Pyramid. They were in the garrison of elephatine an island in the Nile far from being slaves. So it's funny when Jews say they were slaves and built the pyramids. Some people want to be oppressed so bad!
