A simple google search will tell you that English is the 2nd official language of the Philippines. If you're American, you should know this lol The PH is literally the only Asian colony the US had in its history.

English is the second language spoken and taught in schools. And also, the Philippines was under the American Government from 1898 to 1936.

Some Filipinos might be prejudiced, but some of it is really funny, like if you were to stumble on a basketball court, some people there would automatically see you as a player and a pro because Pinoys LOVES NBA.

It's not negative prejudice though and is more ignorant bliss where anything that seems "offensive" really isn't. An example with by black American's love for fried chicken where some would think it's racist if you give them fried chicken but for Filipinos it's a good prejudice for us since we love fried chicken and from anyone who has tried American fried chicken, they'd immediately shut any thoughts of racism due to the fact that our fried chicken are good and that we love it as well and treat them giving chicken as a gesture.

Filipinos are jaded and racist lets be honest. They practically aspire to be white..and worship yte people. Weird people with their strange beauty standards...pointy nose and white skin aspiration 😅Unfortunately this african doesn't see the disdain in their eyes for his blackness. 😂. Stop saying these people are friendly they aren't... ignorant and uneducated at best. They are insulting you while smiling at your stupidity

Theres a deeper sense of "community" here than pretty much any city I've seen or lived in within the US. Cities were more like this back in the post WWII era in the US, up until the late 80s. It may be densely populated, but people have a sense of community that is lacking in much of what ive seen in the US.

Now i want to go back to the person who posted in ig that the Philippines is 45% racist in the world. See how we treated foreigners in our country we are approachable and respectful human beings. We are happy and positive people even though we don't know how to speak English fluently we will talk to you bravely. Proud Filipino ❤️

I am a Cameroonian who's planning to visit Manila this December 2024 as Cameroonians have a visa-free agreement with the Philippines. So your video was very refreshing and that little girl in the yellow shirt was a bit shy at first but later wanted to hang out with you and all the kids were just so happy and didn't care that your skin looked different to theirs.

You are very much welcome to come and visit us. Your folks here are easy to get along with the people here in the Philippines. Wherever you walk, expect that they will give you a fist bump and say "What is up Brother!" some would say "What's up po!" for a manner of respect if you are older than men. Mostly kids and young adults like yourself would greet you!

Thanks for bringing joy to those children but it saddens me to see them in that condition. I hope that the government returns the "Family planning program". Manila has been branded as one of the most densely populated city in the world. It's also the main cause of poverty, unemployment, housing and education problem.

i think they're trying to get your attention when they shout woooh! it's not usual that we get to see foreign people in a busy neighborhood like that. since some cannot communicate well in English we tend to smile and just run away, but that doesn't mean that we don't like being with foreign visitors like you. stay safe.
