I discovered Japan through the Navy and didn't have much expectation. Little did I know, it would be a country I would come to absolutely LOVE. Japan is a VIBE!!! Im going to get flack for this, but Japan is the new America. Everyone wants to experience it, everyone wants to go back or live there, everyone or at least majority of people wish to live or stay in Japan. If you know you know. I ALWAYS encourage my friends and family to GET AWAY from America, but if they ask me where ..... JAPAN is my ONLY recommendation. My 5 yrs in Japan was the greatest time of my life and I will always look to go back and if God wills it, Live there. I appreciate Anton mentioning you can do the trip for less than what he spent because it is absolutely FACTS.

Next time you go to Japan, definitely have to visit Tokyo and Osaka. Japan is my favorite country. I am going back for the 4th time next year with ANA business class. Love Japanese airlines too! I didn't experience much racism when I used to live in Japan. I also speak Japanese which I think enhances your experience when you visit Japan, because you get to talk to locals, make friends and experience the culture on a deeper level.

Would it be nice to have at least one city that's the black version of a Tokyo somewhere in the world. Can we just get one black city like Moscow, Sydney, Shanghai or London. I don't think black Americans can do it here because the self hate is too real. Three American black men can barely come together without arguing.

I appreciate you highlighting that the women in Japan seem more feminine. Can you please touch on WHY YOU THINK THAT IS? What is it about the environment? What is it about the men? What is it about the culture? Bc the safe environment provided by both men and women allow for ppl to be in peace.

It really was such a strange thing for him to keep saying. I think he means women are quiet. But the culture in public there is to be quiet. He seems a little sexist just off this video.

Japan is a harmonious, respectful and wonderful culture. I also think you would like Korea if you haven't been. I've been to and stationed in both(Okinawa) Racism, I personally didn't experience it..the animosity was more towards U.S. military members in general due to the conduct of some and there were places we weren't allowed. People who want to move there and think they will bring that 'hood/hillbilly mindset there are sadly mistaken. You will either adapt to their culture or you will be back home in the states.Yes, the police aren't armed but extensively trained in Karate/Judo. I more than likely will return one day. Also, best to splurge and get bigger seats and/or first class for that long trip..makes a big difference.

There's nothing like the love, you get from your own Black people. I travel alot myself. When you're a tourist, spending money in foreign country. Of course you will be treated well. Try living in a different country. You will see the how they really feel about you. It could be good, it could be bad. But you will see! Lol

@@SuperMogul In my case I was running away from "American blackness" I'd love to live in Japan, because most of the things I like come from there. But the cold reality of their society is that you'll never be one of them. Even half Japanese get looked down to a degree. It's not all sunshine and giant robots thats for sure. But at least you don't have to watch your back at 3am.
@SuperMogul

@@anon7596 You have to alleviate, you choose to live in places you have to watch your back at all times. I've lived all across America and some out the country. Do you're research, before you travel or relocate. They have some great small cities in America.

You don't need money abroad to get respect lol. I wish yall would actually do it and stop making these statements. Most people abroad just respect people in general as long as you act like you ha e some sense. My fiance grew up in Japan, amd I visited like 3 times prior to meeting her. The people overall are respectful.
