A lawsuit filed on June 19 alleges Valdosta, GA, police used excessive force in a February 2020 incident where they mistook the plaintiff, Antonio Arnelo Smith, for someone who had an outstanding warrant. In body camera footage released by the city, officers can be seen approaching Smith and arresting him.

If u pay attention a whole lot of these cases involve a person complying to orders or at least trying to comply (bc orders also get very confusing and contradictory) but then police escalates the situation when the human is just becoming scared/nervous/angry which are Normal Reactions when u get arrested, especially if u know you're innocent.

@Good looking out I agree they are racist sociopaths and need to be fired. I also love the look on the cop who did the body slam 1:37 . He looks extremely worried because he knows that he will be charged with assault, lose his job and will have to front up in court to defend his actions. There is even the possibility of jail time especially if he has a record abusing civilians, which is suspect he has. The other officers look equally concerned as they know they are to varying degrees complicit. It sickens me to imagine how many black people over the decades were treated like this and could not prove it. There is no doubt this man will get a bit pay out and will deserve every cent. Every cop in America should have to wear a body cam and should be a automatic firing of offense for turning them off.

This is an excerpt from the Valdosta Pd statement on Facebook. It was posted on June 22: "The responding officer approached the subject and advised him to place his hands behind his back. The subject did not and began to resist by pulling his arms forward and tensing his body. At this point, the responding officer used a physical control technique to place the subject on the ground so handcuffs could be applied. " Is this what happened? How many times have the Police lied about these things? How many are languishing in jail or shot to death without receiving any justice? This has to stop.
