I’ve seen several documentaries on Sweden’s prison system. So interesting. If I’m remembering correctly, certain prisoners can even leave the prison during the day for work and they come home and sleep in their “cell”. They have a full kitchen the prisoners can use and they even get grocery store food items to use, of their choice. So they can be in prison and continue making a paycheck with a ton of freedom. It works for them pretty well! It’s so interesting!

Here if people get out of prison as a felon they have zero chance of finding a job or a place to live as if you’re a felon nobody will rent to you. How are people supposed to build their lives again? (Quick edit: what I remember is that Euronymous 'rearranged' the scene to make it look like it'd be a good album cover. I can't recall if that got debunked or not.)

Bull shit never happened. Dawn of the black hearts was a bootleg you know not an official release. Euronymous did send a friend who released that live album a photo, but no official Mayhem album has a corpse on it.

Not to mention he (alleged by Mayhem’s former bandmates) encouraged Per “Dead” Ohlin to take his own life. Encouraging a young adult with a long history of extreme depression and suicidal behavior to k!ll themselves. That is straight up the behavior of a monster itself.

Lords Of Chaos is unironically one of my favourite movies. It's really more of a black comedy than an actual honest portrayal of the events involving Varg, but its still a lot of fun regardless if you like that sort of thing. It was actually my first introduction to the Norwegian black metal scene and Varg's music in general, and while he may be a racist POS murderer he sure as hell makes a good ambient track. Check out Dunkelheit and you'll see what I mean, or just the whole Filosofem album tbh, shits great.

i remember hearing about this case a long time ago when coffeehouse crime covered it. a little [not so] fun fact about mayhem: after dead was found dead (literally) by euronymous and after the photos were taken, one of them was actually used in a bootleg live album, dawn of the black hearts… understandably garnering a ton of controversy with the immensely grisly album cover. as always, loving this season! looking forward to more!

I don't care what anyone says, stabbing Euronymous that many times was NOT self defense.
