This made me laugh because I used to do it to my own mom. I'm reminded of an episode of Malcolm in the Middle where Lois was screaming at the boys and Reese was mocking her behind her back. Finally she screams, Reese, for Christ's sake, there's a mirror there! She could see him doing it the entire time lol.

@@DaisyAnnabelle65Mine was too but my parents were divorced. When my dad was discharged from the army, he was a drill sergeant. It showed even when I was a young adult because I remember I got into one argument with him and looking back, I was wrong. I was 19 now and I was still pretty young. It was over something stupid like food too. All he asked me to do was eat what I took. He said take all you want but eat all you take. That's fair. I mean, it's expensive to waste food. Anyway, I thought he was overreacting so I got upset and let me tell you, he got in my face. Like he was screaming an inch from my face. It took my stepmom to get him away from me. I think sometimes he would forget that he wasn't in the army anymore. Speaking of my stepmom, what's sad to find out that we lost her in 2022. Cancer. She suffered quite a bit and she didn't deserve that. She was a better mom to me than my own mom was.

Yes, it’s a thing, but with a horizontal hard brush broom and bleach. Older retired military who were stationed in Germany in the 1950s and 1969s picked up the habit. Some of those veterans in my neighborhood still do that two or three times a week, but now it’s mostly done by pressure cleaning.

She's not wrong. This is how you teach your children responsibility and I love mothers who do this because they are teaching their children just that, responsibility. Especially their boys. I hate it when men are not taught to be responsible. It's not their fault but they are used to having their mother do everything for them. When they get into a relationship, this translates to them expecting their partner to do everything for them. Basically pick up where their mother left off. My most recent ex tried to do that to me and I told him, you are 39 years old. I am not interested in mothering a grown man. I sent him back to his actual Mom lol.
